Well I have been removed from the game for about 7 years or so and have recently got re-interested back in and have decided I want to put an army together. I have been doing a ton of reading about the new 5th edition rules since that has changed since I last played and have an Assault on Black Reach set on the way and I will go through the rule book when I get it but I used to play Necrons and Space Wolves and wanted to go with a different army this time. I have been researching the Black Templars and know that they still use their older codex but like the idea that they are essentially a CC based space marine army. I am looking for some insight from Black Templar players as to if this is a good army to use getting back into the game. Any help is appreciated and if anyone has good schmes on how to paint/build them that would be helpful as well as it has been a long time since I have done this. Thanks

Ray

I don't know if this will help, but here's a thread I started when i was thinking about starting up BT again.

Thank you that was a good read. It has confirmed my belief that BT would be a good army to start back up with. I have a Black Reach Set on the way and have order the chapter upgrade kit and another tactical squad to go along with them. I guess what should I consider looking at getting next? Maybe the EC and some LRC along with some scouts to be neophytes to add into my initiate squads. Oh and I also have the codex coming so I can learn a little more about this army besides what I read online.
