this will still take a while to assemble, but I think this is what I'm working towards. I'm going to list what I'm considering in parenthesis for advice/critique then at the end list a bunch of other options I'll have. Feel free to C&C any part (especially sergeant gear and other optional weapons/gear) as this is my first army list.

Captain (I could substitute a command squad in for some points from somewhere else)

Chaplain in terminator armor (maybe carrying a combi flamer)
attached to 5x Assault Terminators (can't decide between claws and hammers)
riding in a Land Raider Redeemer (maybe with extra armor, this can also be either of the other 2 LR variants)

Tac Squad in a Rhino. Sergeant just has normal bolter.

Tac Squad in a Rhino. Sergeant has chainsword and bolt pistol. (Melta bombs?)

Tac Squad in Drop Pod (Deathwind missiles). Sergeant has chain sword and pistol.

4x Sniper Scouts with Camo Cloaks. Led by Telion.


Ok so I'm going to have plenty of other options as I continue to buy/build. This list is about 1435 or so. I have a vindicator, whirlwind and another LR chassis that I could field, any of them with Chronus.

Also until I actually get everything built I'll have to tweak some of this stuff to actually play.

the tatical sqaud can have a flamer special weapon for free and a heavy bolter, multi melta or missle luancher for free.

for assualt termmy's you want a crusader

I should note that I didn't mention the free upgrades, but with no other ideas all tac squads will have flamers and missiles

Well, your HQ and Elites seem a bit pricey, so I'd say swap out the Captain as he is doing nothing that i can see. Thats about 100pts saved.

Keep the three Tactical squads as they look good.

Use the 100pts from the Captain to beef up the Scout squad as it seems too small and would be too little of a threat, and use this unit to cap your own objectives.

You need anti tank somewhere. So maybe consider using the normal LR variant with twin Lascannons. And if you have any points left over (about 90) could buy a Lascan turret Predator

Magnets? That way you can switch them out as you want and find a combination you like.

Sounds good to replace captain and I'll add more to the scouts. The terminators will definitely be magnetized, I just meant for this list.

I can use the regular LR for the terminators, as I'd have to drop points elsewhere to pick up the second LR or a pred.
