Drop poding terminators

The codex doesn't say that (SM) Terminators can't embark a drop pod, is it then possible to get a drop pod for a tactical squad but then deploying the terminators in it?

It would say in their entry if they can take a Drop Pod or not.

And no, you cant mount a Drop Pod as you must start outside of another Dedicated Transport before the game if you wish to ride it.

No, nothing can embark into a drop pod that does not come with it. Seeing as how a drop pod is a dedicated transport, you can only take it with units whose codex entry says you may take it. Hence Terminators cannot take a drop pod as it is not listed in their codex entry
