In the latest WD (which I got this morning), there are pictures of Marco Columbo (special edition model), and the new Wood Elf Wild Riders. Is anyone interested in either of these? Cos if people particularly wanna see this stuff, I'll scan it in and post it.

Nope, but it says the rules are gonna be in the next issue. Says nothing about models though.

Columbo! Welcome back from GW spain!

Seriously though... this model was made a few years ago by the GW dudes for some event in Spain, and it was only available there, and for a limited time. GW just acts like it's a new model, as usual.

Its limited edition. When you go to the online store (atleast the US one) it says : "# left" or summat like that.

I like the wild riders. the leaf style face plates for the horses is a nice touch too. :) ~

He doesn't have any rules. He's just the guy who discovered Lustria. And he's not Marco Polo meets Christopher Columbus...he's just Marco Polo. Tilean (Italian) of birth, but he explored on behalf of Estalia (Spain), as I believe Marco Polo did.

actually, he pretty much is a hybrid cc/marco polo. he was the first guy to travel to lustria and survive and bring back knowledge of it, he was also one of the first chap to travel to cathay and actualy detail what was there rather than just selling stuff and gettin home as fast as his legs could carry him. so essentialy he opened up trade (or plundering) to both the west and the east...

his rules were that he was a mercenary general (DoW) who was a decent crossbowman and had a good selection of loot (gem of lustria, gourd of lustrian wine, scroll of araby).
