Now may sound a newbie statement (which i am) but since all stealth suits can take 1 support system but what they can take is fairly limited - seems to me that if you give all you team drone controllers, max out gun drones and for 2 pts less than if they were a fast attack choice, they get stealth ability.
E.g. i used to / will be always taking a 4 man team (usually 2 of them) - gives you 8 gun drones - thats a lot of firepower for a hard to hit unit - espicially as drones give pinning ability.
Whats more drones take the brunt of the wound allocation, and with bonded, the stealth suits stay together and alive a long time.

It's not my style, but it is definitely a plan. Just be careful, cos you'll need a bonding knife... Never forget them!
Back in 4th ed I used to take 6 with Targeting Arrays for funzies, and hide them in my deployment until the enemy got close, then BLAM! infantry squads gone. Worked a treat against my Guard and Ork friends. Not sure what its like now, though :(

You say "back in 4th edition" but whats changed in 5th to make your old tactic unsure ? I am getting back into it and have not yet exposed myself to the new rules - so would be interested to know.

Running and units giving other units cover most likely.

Marker light drones are a worthwhile investment for them as well. Stealth and JSJ will annoy a lot of people.

Yeah, stealth suits and gun drones are great. I always wanted to make an army with 3 squads of 6 stealths and 12 gun drones. Then i'd have a few 8 man firewarrior teams and 3 hammerheades. Would be great to see the look on my oppenets face when he can't swhoot back at whats raping his infantry squads.

Yep - definately what i will be running with - makes sense if you want to take loads of gun drones, you may as well take them 2pts cheaper with stealth !

the only problem is that a stealth suit with 2 gun drones is 50pts.
A squad of 6 is 310 points. bonded
A squad of 4 is 210 bonded.
In my opinion a squad of 6 is just too many points in 1 unit which could easily be wiped out in close by some fast assault troops. A squad of 4 isn't too bad.
Another reason not to take them is that its all strength 5 weapons. You have to make sure that you have enough anti-tank.

Yeah, but if you take em and have them cover each other, fast assaulters shouldn't be a problem if you deploy correctly.
And in a 1500 point list can fit 3 full stealth teams, 2 hammerheads w/multi tracker and disruption pod, 2 8 man firewarrior teams, ana a shas'el w/ TL FB, TA. That comes out to 1498.
I think thats a fairly good list. The enemy will probably be too busy worrying about trying to kill the massive stealth suit teams on his doorstep that he'll forget about the firewarriors and let them run to the objectives, the stealth suits will commence the slaughtering of enemy squads, and the commander and railheads will kill the armour, and if there isnt much armor, the railheads can then through pie plates at the rest of the enemy infantry.
Now i want to go out and get enough stealth suits and gun drones for this list. I think this would be really fun to play.

I use 3 Stealths, and 2-3 GDs in my teams, and they work very well for me.

I hear what your saying but if stealth suits get assaulted then your not playing them right .
They should be kept out of range, jump in fire and jet pack out - harassment is the key and CC should be avoided - plus when i used to play, my gun drone squads have took out many a vehicles gettign around them - only the tough nuts need a hammerhead.

Keep it simple, 1 per Stealth at most works best imo... I mostly use XV25 (2xShas'ui, Team Leader) 120pts Bonding Knife, Hard-wired Drone Controller, 2xGun Drones

Leonix is right, stealths should be kept to 3 suits, a team leader, 2 gun drones, bonded.
Although i still really want to play that all stealth list.

Yup. It's all this true line of sight stuff, that gets them all dead, nowadays. Used to be just cheating kids hiding squads of assault marines in buildings with lids when I went to the toilet...

If I have spare points Ill go to 3xGDs (one per), but that's it.

I hear what a lot of you are saying but why only 1 GD per suit max ? If you plan to take drone squads - surely it makes more sense to attach them to suits and get cheaper drones with stealth - why not max out 2x GD per suit ?
I always used to use drones and Stealth suits for harrassment and i plan to go back to that tactic - so combining them makes economic / effective sense - i guess the only downside is instead of having 4 harrassment squads you have 2 large ones.
I am really keen to understand some of the points here - remember - me personnally would play with 2 units or 8x Gun drones.

Cause Id rather spend more points on non S5 weapons in other units, than a horde of Stealth Drones.
Zawicki

Points being spent on other things is generally what limits the drones, but also having that big of a squad is a little hard to hide.

Fair enough on the points issue - i think i will be giving it ago just to see how effective it will be and how much of a threat an opponant thinks that a squad of 4 stealths and 8 drones will be to them.

Oh it will be a nice threat, but someone like me will just shove something they can't handle in their face (Dreadnaught).

This is the essence of the rock/scissors/paper concept of 40k.
Just find a rock for the stealth suit scissors, who will be trying to cut your paper to ribbons..

Indeed, and I see it enough to discourage from point heavey team like the one we are discussing... In Apoc it wouldn't matter as you have point to blow up the wa-zoo, but in under 2K its a point sink imo.
