Hola again
I allways wanted to make a dark eldar army, but the lack of updates on the codex just makes me puke realy.
So after my freind bougt the new eldar codex i have been thinking about useing the eldar codex for Dark eldar models.
Coude this work? ore are the armys to different to feel like dark eldar?

I suppose you could, but very few models would actually match up with actual eldar. I guess this would be all right for games with friends, but not in a tournament.

very few units would convert...but I'm sure it's possible if you do mainly bikes and normal warrior guys

Yeah, I don't know much about Eldar but I'm very sure that not alot of units would match up, but few would, so if you are feeling creative, I say go for it :D

you could always go with the 'newly fallen eldar' theme. Thats not very common, and would be interesting enough. And it'd be ready for the new DE codex... in the next 200 years or so.

Id say try to match up the units and go for. wyches for banshees, warriors for dire avengers, bikes for bikes.etc.

How old is that link? he talks of 2004 as if its in the future so over 5 years?

At one point I was going to do the opposite - DE models as pirate Eldar. Led by "Gandaln the Grey," read, Yreil.

Its not too bad an idea to use Eldar codex for your dark eldar army.
Warriors = Dire Avengers
Warriors with heavy weapon = guardians
Incubi = striking scorpions
Wyches = banshees
Raider = wave serpent
Ravenger = Falcon
Talos = Wraithlord
Models with a blaster = fire dragons
Hellions = warp spiders
Archon = Autarch
bird guys = swooping hawks
Bikes = bikes
And you could take Rangers because they are kind of outcasts that might join up with some dark eldar force.
It was alot harder with the old codex but with the new one its a bit easier.
Your not gonna have a direct army list conversion, you'll probably have to leave some models with certain weapons out and your 20man warrior squads will suck as guardians. And your lord won't be as kick ass.
