Now I know they're awesome - but one down side to them is there £12 price tag. So I wondered what you folks might suggest could be the base of some conversion work to turn into fiends?

OK, some random thought's here...
for 3 fiends of Slaanesh...
3 Tyranid Warrior Head plates (http://www.bitzbox.co.uk.php5-2.dfw1-1.websitetestlink.com/product_info.php?products_id=628) = £1.50
3 Tyranid Warrior Faces (http://www.bitzbox.co.uk.php5-2.dfw1-1.websitetestlink.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_36_87&products_id=1598) = 60p
Elven Steeds (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat1250001&prodId=prod1290047) = £7.85
3 Deamonette Torso'sand weapon arms (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat1300229&prodId=prod1170245) - Not on any bitz sites...
bit of Green Stuff work you can attach the Deamonette torsos and arms to the Elven Steed bodies and then use the Tyranid heads and you have 3 fiends of slaanesh, don't know how good they would look though

What about some Chaos Warhounds (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat1380003&prodId=prod1570038), 2 per 40mm base, painted in appropriate colours?

::Edit:: i was going to try and use some Dark elf- witch elfs for daemonettes (if we're on the topic of Slaanesh conversions.

Well, a bloodletter on a Flesh hound is nearly as... Nope, it's not. They suck compared to Juggers! :P

Hmm - i've got some unassembled Tyranid Warrior, so I may take a look at possibilities involving them. Spawn seem like a good model to take a look at, so they're definately a contender, and as for Cold Ones - I know Stelek on "YesTheTruthHurts" used Cold Ones, but I didn't know which ones. And as I could only find the Lizardmen ones (stoopid GW search engine...) - so i'll take a look.
Of course, I may need to have a look at what spare bits a box of Daemonettes would leave me with as well.
Oh and instead of creating another thread i'll just do this here. Converting stuff into plastic Horrors - Shirrif reccomended Wood Elf Dryads, what do you think. Make them look at bit less 'tree-ey'...

The Dryads look interesting when they're done up, like. I've used horrors, without the heads. Paint an eye on the stump, lol.

i don't know how your green stuff skills are but 100g from the war store is only 12.95$, i mean horrors are basically a headless mass of chaos. as far as sculpts go that's as easy as you can get. you could just make a posed wire frame x shape and go crazy with the tentacles. and 100g of kneadatite would prolly make 50 horrors...
just tell your gw store you bought the green stuff through them. than they are still "gw legal", since they would still be a gw product..

Ah but Seekers are fiends with riders, so, you need to have fiends. just an idea though.

No they're not. Fiends are an entirely different entity all together - hence the fact they can fight on there on. Whereas the cavalry which Daemonettes ride (thus making them seekers) do not.
Like a Bloodcrusher rides a Juggernaut, which is a steed of Khorne, a Seeker rides a steed of Slaanesh - which is definately not a Fiend.

Not so much.
Seekers are Daemonettes on Steeds. Not Fiends.
