It... Could... Work... Potentually...
But dude, draw it in Paint. You cant use X's and O's on this forum. It automaticaly squishes things to the side.

Ugh, 40k isn't about stock formations like that, especially in a Tau army. You need to deploy dependent on the terrain, not in spite of it.
Now thinking about how things should deploy in relation to other stuff is fine, but doing things that way will just leave you confused when there's a big hill in the middle of your deployment zone.

What hes trying to do is show you how he would either set up his deployment, showing where the various models would go. He's not really showing a list or anything like that - To the mentally confused
Now that formation is often how most new people play Tau. Kroot up front, etc. But as you know, terrain plays a big part in how you deploy, so you may not always find yourself in this formation or deployment. Good generals are able to think on the fly and adjust accordingly to battlefield conditions.
As you progress as a player I hope you find this out for yourself and figure out how to move around the battlefield and still maintain decent fire power.

You set up according to your terrain. You've been looking at pictures of Warhammer Fantasy and how they deploy and move in Regiments, haven't you? 40K is more of a disorganised brawl, so act accordingly!
Now there's many theories on how to do it, and many are stuck in their ways, but I'll give you a general feel of what I would do for deployment;
First up, always deploy behind cover. This might seem either obvious or strange depending on your thinking, but always consider a worse case scenario. If you put stuff out in the open in the hope that you get first turn, what happens when you don't? FREEEEM! You've provided a "target rich environment" for your opponent and can kiss your good stuff goodbye as all the Line of Sight weapons are brought to bear. If you deploy behind cover, you only have to worrry about Indirect Fire, which unless you're playing against someone who believes in Basilisks or Defilers is of marginal concern.
Right, Kroot. Always deploy your Kroot IN cover. Your Fire Warriors will take care of the shooting, the Kroot are there to take care of anything that will advance to stop said Fire Warriors shooting. To do this effectively, they'll need to maximise their survival, hence keeping their heads down.
Hope this helps, and feel free to ask anything!
(And before anyone asks, YES, I have been drinking!)
