Deadline claims "Paramount won't be picking up Megan Fox's option on Transformers 3 -- and that it was 'ultimately' director Michael Bay's decision. (So he gets his revenge for her remark comparing him to 'Hitler'.)" In other words, she was fired for her past war of words with the Transformers director.

The site adds that the script is being rewritten now to give Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) a new love interest. That role will be cast as soon as possible. Nothing is known about the character, except that she will likely be extremely hot and vapid.

Fox, 24, has seen her star rise and fall in just a few short years. She burst into the big time with her role as Mikaela Banes, a.k.a. eye candy bent over the engine of a muscle car, in 2007's Transformers. She followed that with the flop How to Lose Friends and Alienate People before appearing in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Jennifer's Body, her horror comedy with Diablo Cody, also flopped, and her upcoming Jonah Hex doesn't exactly have the greatest buzz surrounding it.

Time will tell whether Megan Fox can rally back and prove to the industry and public that she's a legitimate actress and star, or if she'll serve as a cautionary tale for other overnight stars whose outspoken antics and diva reputations ruin their once promising careers before they even truly began.

I knew from the start she would fail beyond transformers. She's just fad, like so many others.

Yep. How many actors like this do we get a month?

Well, unless they replace her with someone equally amazing to watch, I feel that one of the three pillars that Transformers is built on is going to be missing from the third film (Attractive women + Robots + Action)

Meh. People will forge about her. Now that Megan Fox isn't in transformers, she really isn't popular, and she won't be forgotten, or missed.

Transformers 1-2 sucked hardcore energon cubes...

so good for her tbh

And I think she's gorgeous...if nothing else she's got a modeling career...she was everywhere in Europe

The first one was kwel. i liked it. Didn't see the second

I can see why you would hate it, though..

Because I grew up on the show and the original animated movie....both of which were amazing?

^that and you have good taste. You don;t watch something because everyone else does it.

First movie was good popcorn fun. That's what you can say about it. That being said, the second, it's nowhere near close to the original. I grew on the series and movie as previously mentioned, and yes, I enjoyed it, as popcorn. Same reason I watch any action movie. I can't say I'll miss Fox, because I won't be seeing the third.

This is odd as I've already read an article statting that she'd be "less orange" and more of a "working girl" in TF3 and I'm sure there was a promo make-up picture too.

Oh well.

And for the record. As movies bout giant transforming robots, they kick ass, as movies about anything else, they suck and that includes Transformers.

The 1986 movie is the best piece of media connected to Transformers, ever. The G1 series however, is a bit lame. There are much better Transformers cartoons out there.

No Megan Fox? *Watches as all the pervs who are just there to see her boobs swing amid the action leave*

Michael Bay: Damnit thats 50% of my viewers! ...I'll have to add more explosions...

Seriously, even if she's a total bitch (which c'mon she's hot so obviously she is going to be one), he made the wrong choice. TF3 will suck tremendously with the loss of a major character out of the blue. Hes gonna have to really suck up to her to get her back as well or face the consequences... Most likely this will result in her being transformed into an extra hundred explosions.

...How does this signify that Megan Fox's career is dead?...and since when did Jonah Hex not have any great buzz?...

Don't really care which way.

Doesn't bother me. I enjoyed giant robot fights more than her tbh...

And although the films are grade A trash, they did have the fun of being brainless action films.

All TF3 needs is a longer, bigger Optimus Prime sword fight. I meant that almost aroused me it was so epic. In fact, balls to the acting. Mr. Bay, can we just have an hour and a half of Prime, Bumblebee, Jazz et al, kicking arse and taking names please?

Baragash

I have to admit, I was given TF2 as an Xmas present and have probably watched it once a month purely for sit-down-switch-brain-off entertainment, despite not liking it.

(Can't do it with the first one though due to the shitty scene where the Autobots mess up the parents garden)

I have to turn off my brain due to the presence of Shia Labeesiaufaf or whatever his name is. I really cannot stand him.

However, Optimus Prime is a dude fo' sho'

i'm glad fox is out. she was just eye-candy to attract non-transformer fans, with the intelligence of a pencil i might add. and are they actually making a third one? how can they repeat the cycle of bad movies? i mean for crying out load would a little story line really kill anyone?

Yup, the writers would actually have to write something meaningful and not stare at porn all day...
So they'll get withdrawal symptoms :P

Liked the first one, liked only the action of the second one. Will see the 3rd and try to keep an open mind.

I'm not really upset to see her leave the movie. There are a lot of hot actresses out there.

The first one was alright, but the second was really disappointing. It's amazing how they're making these into bad films, because there are so many excellent plots they could steal from the background..

Baragash
21st May 2010, 14:26
Because they hired a director who openly admits he's doing it to muck around with CGI, not because he cares about the background.

Admittedly, the explosions were good.

I agree that it'd be great to see a good story and something that goes beyond awesome CGI, but I've accepted the fact that while Star Trek got an amazing movie that was all kinds of awesome, my beloved Transformers gets a no brainer explosion fest.

Of course, the only way to satisfy my fanboy would be to recreate the 1986 film. Duh.

Honestly, the only reason Transformers was even a movie to me because of Fox.

Now it's just plain dumb, especially 'cuz Bay said he wouldn't do another Transformers after number 2...What, he gets rid of the actress/model/whatever you wanna call her that sold the movie to the masses of drooling teenagers and now he expects to make it legit?

And we somehow forgot that the 2nd one made no sense whatsoever?

well, she never could act to save her life anyway. Her facejob is admirable though, she could still make a good living off glamour modelling.

Likely they'll cast just another bimbo, though I hope they're looking for some -ANY- acting talent in the new recruit. If they cast Kirsten Bell, I abandon all hope.

Maybe they should just get you Kaede: beauty and brains. :D Though I think most of the demographic the films are aimed at would be threatened by the latter more than anything. :?
