Its really good so far... is this just an army of gretchins and grots and big grots you're talkin about? And when are you going to submit this to GW?

Yep, just a Grot army.
At the moment i'm playtesting. My thoughts are

1 - Characters too squishy. Perhaps have them purchaseable akin to blood angel sanguinary priests (purchase as a group and add to units individually)

2 - Big Un's too expensive. They're similar in cost to Terminators but nowhere near as effective. Need a minor adjustment.

3 - The army needs a medic. Grot medics are known as 'Orderlies'. Squad upgrade that gives feel no pain.

These are all for the updated release.

As for submitting it to GW, I don't intend to. These are homebrew rules for free play. :)

This is just a post to say, "Hey guys, take a look at the attachment on the article."
I've done a MAJOR re-release of the Rebel Grot codex, it's now a shiny PDF with new fluff, rules fixes, a handy index table and page references JUST LIKE a GW publication.

Am in love with this idea! Are there any pictures anywhere of anyone who's tried to bring a Rebel Grots army together?

Not as of yet. A few people have done various types of grot armies either with their own homebrew rules or matching the guard or elsewise, but as far as I am aware, no one has used my rebel grot codex to build an army. I will be doing so over time, as I get funds.

Apart from the current 40k gretchins I was thinking the normal warhammer skulkers, nights goblins and a few goblin heroes would be pretty good for conversion, is that something similar to what you were thinking?

Well, night goblin fanatics, a combination of the basic goblins and grots, new parts.. there's quite a few easy ways to make most of the units. And don't forget that Grot Tanks and Mega-Tanks are Forge World.
A Grot Lugga (and it's smaller cousin) could be made easily from plasticard and spare wheels from other GW models. They're meant to look unique and slapdash, after all.
