wanting to trade off early 40k stuff 1995 era

First of all I know people are weary of dealing with first time posters but I will send my half of the trade first to show I am on the up and up. 2nd I am in the U.S. but with ship wherever.


now to the business at hand:

I build plastic car models, and currently am building a "end of the world" or "zombie killer" car.

someone mentioned that warhammer stuff is great for weapons. I remember that in my attic I have a bunch of W H stuff so I look and there really isn't much I can use. So I thought I would post a trade option on a forum or 2 (this is the only one so far).

what I have: i bought the base kit for 40k in 1995, looked through the contents page and seen that everything is there plus alot of extra gretchin and orcs. some things are missing like the scenerio book and cutout landscapes(which sucked). and some of the cards but all the important stuff(like reference cards, books, and blast patterns. only major thing missing is the dice(I have no idea where these went???) also have a coupleof extra items including an unpainted scorcerer (ms) all is vintage and copyrights are for 1992 -95.

I am willing to seperate or trade the lot. If there is any interest let me know and I will take pics.

what I am looking for: guns, lots of guns. swords, knifes, chainsaws, tank parts, ammo boxes, and generally anything that would come in handy to defend against a zombie attack.

also modeling tools, citadel paints, styrene, diorama items, anything that would convert over to scale modeling, would also look at partial and full 1/24 - 1/25 model kits.

parts I am recieving do not have to be vintage newer stuff is fine. I don't care if a hand is attached or anything like that as long as there is room to grind it down and remove it.

here is a list of what I have. the stuff listed as badly painted is painted with testors paint and will need to be stripped. painted means painted with citadel and can probably be repainted without stripping. ones listed as primed are just that, glued to base, primed, and ready for paint. all are G W except last one witch is noted.

15 orcs (7 are missing arms, horns, made bald headed(I have an odd since of humor), but several arms and a "parts" guy is in bag to help if you want them whole again.)

badly painted:
39 gretchen (painted to look like clowns(my odd sense of humor again)) lol
6 space marine

other:

all the codexes and charts and templates etc. that comes with the kit includes 3 books.

small lot of snotlings (see pic)(coming soon)

orc leader (forget his name but was killed off in the 2nd codex. copyright 1992 missing little gretchen that carries the flag.) painted with citadell, not bad looking but not pro.

chaos sorcerer. unpainted with metal hand, base and plastic backpack (flag pole broke but included) copyright 1995 made by

space marine? leader generic big claw copyright1995 missing plastic hand.

The Orc that "got killed off" that you're referring to is Ghazkull Mag Uruk Thraka. That's a second edition version, which is after he's had his surgery, IIRC and used to have a grot banner waver called Makari that goes alongside him.
Ghazkull's still alive today, funnily enough, it's Makari that died.

What would the cost of shipping be like from the states to the UK?

soory but it has gone up alot since I last shipped to uk with usps. use to not be that bad but is unreal now. fedex shouldn't be too bad but you can check it out with that info.

btw I had a pm from a guy that has first dibs , but I don't think he wants all of it. we'll see if I don't hear from him quick then to the next guy it goes.

As this forumite's blog demonstrates, it certainly is the second Ghazkull model. :)
As for Makari, I own and have painted one recently, strangely.

I'll be honest - the bits i'm interested in would be the Grots and Orks up to the point where they're primed. Anything more than an undercoat would be too much work for me to redeem.
Oh, and Ghazkull. May as well get him to complete the pair, and as he's metal, stripping the paint is less of a bother.
What's the weight of just those parts?

when Iyou say grots i guess you mean what at the time were called gretchin? or do you mean the snotlings?

Gretchin, sorry. The terms 'Grot' and 'Gretchin' are used interchangeably nowadays.
