Is it okay to use Chaos Marine models as Blood Angels?

Is it okay to use Chaos Marine models as Blood Angels? because i have a load of space Chaos Marines and I'm focusing on making my Blood Angles at the moment so wondered if i could use my Spare marines? :)

As long as you can distinguish what they are supposed to be most friendly games should not be an issue

Just keep the models WYSIWYG, or basically equipped with the correct gear.

For specialty BA units you'll want to either add bits and such or convert some models especially for it.


On the whole, many many people use one kind of Marine models to field another Marine equivalent codex. Some will try to say you're a "powergamer" or such nonsense but when it comes down to it... they're all the same models except for aesthetics.


I can say right now that when Chaos finally gets re-done and I get my MEQ army, I'm going to use whatever codex suits my fancy at the time. It'll usually be the "right" one.
