I love Will Farrell... sadly I thought Anchorman was one of his worst movies of all time.

(I know... I'm in the minority)

I guess flame wars are carried out with incinerators here rather than burning arrows?

LOL

I liked it, I thought it was funny. I'm not sure why some people think it's like the funniest film ever.

But then, I'm not a massive Will Farrell fan. I find him a bit hit and miss.

I find stupidity completely unamusing - This leaves Will Farrel as one of my least favorite actors. To be fair, he does play his parts very well. It just isn't my style.

I can't stand Will Ferrell. He's just annoying and stupid, and just plain unfunny....apart from in Anchorman where he's bearable. The real wonders of Anchorman comes from the other characters and actors. Anchorman is still my favourite comedy of all time.

Never seen the first film but have recently seen the buzz of the second film and wondered what on earth all the hype is about - so may need to see it. I personally quite like Will Farrell, most stuff I have seen him in has been amusing - not side splitting but certainly amusing.

I have to admit, while I'm not the biggest Will Ferrel fan on the planet, I was smiling from beginning to end.

For those who were wondering; Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) is returning, (http://insidemovies.ew.com/2012/06/01/anchorman-sequel-christina-applegate/) despite her lack of presence in that trailer.

X-Men‘s James Marsden is the latest cast member to join Will Ferrell & Co. in Anchorman: The Legend Continues. While plot details have been kept largely under wraps, sources tell Deadline he’ll play a rival anchor and nemesis to Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy in the sequel. Secrecy has been high as production ramps up for a March shoot in Atlanta, although Christina Applegate slipped news of Kristen Wiig’s casting on Twitter earlier this month. Adam McKay is directing the December 20, 2013 Paramount release for Gary Sanchez Productions and Apatow Productions with much of the original Anchorman cast reprising their roles, including Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, and David Koechner.

Marsden most recently flexed his comedic muscles in last year’s Bachelorette and played Liz Lemon’s love interest Criss Chros on NBC’s 30 Rock. He next appears in Universal’s August crime drama 2 Guns with Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg, followed by Lee Daniels’ The Butler in which he plays JFK. He just wrapped Walk Of Shame opposite Elizabeth Banks.

To be honest, if Anchorman 2 doesn't have a shit-tonne of cameos, it won't be as good as the first. Simple as that :P

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/06/nicole-kidman-anchorman-2-secret-cameo_n_3029417.html

Another big-name Hollywood star has been added to the "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" billing.

Nicole Kidman reportedly has a secret cameo in the upcoming "Anchorman" sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and the Oscar-winning actress has already shot the bit in Atlanta.

THR also reported Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, who appeared in the original "Anchorman" as rival newscasters to Will Ferrell's Ron Burgundy, will shoot small roles as well.

Rumors previously spread that Meryl Streep would be making a cameo appearance in "Anchorman 2," but Steve Carell shot those down. "When I did 'Hope Springs,' [Meryl] mentioned she was a fan and she said, 'Oh, I'd love to be in it,'" Carell, who plays Brick Tamland, told "Access Hollywood" in March. "But that's not gonna [happen] -- that's not a thing. She's actually busy -- she can't do it."

Alongside stars Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd and Carell, "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" will also feature cameos from Harrison Ford, Kristen Wiig and James Marsden.

Ford's "Anchorman" casting made headlines last month, but he isn't so sure his part will actually make the final cut. Producers Adam McKay and Judd Apatow asked Ford to take the role before they knew about his part in "Morning Glory," a 2010 film starring Rachel McAdams about a newbie television producer reviving a morning program.

"It'd be easy enough to cut out. I don't think it's critical," he told Entertainment Tonight.

It was Luke Wilson in the original Anchorman, not Owen :P
