I have decided to take salamanders but i have found that Forgefather Vulkan He'stan has no model...i know i have make my own one and i have ideas but im not 100% sure if they are the right parts.
The spear of vulkan: I plan to get some grey knight spears (this is gunna be hard to explain, but i will try my best) i plan to cut the head off the spears and glue this spear head to the back of another spear head making a double sided spear. The pole will be easy to finish.
The Gaunlet of the forge: I plan just to glue a flamer on each wrist.
But im not sure which model he should be...i mean should i use a chapter master or a normal space marine and convert him. Ideally he needs to have a cape but the model doesn't have to have one as i can always make one myself (even though it will be hard) So does anyone have any ideas on the main model to be used.
As usual thx for any replies
P.S. soz if this is in the wrong place but i wasn't sure...im hopeing this is though :smt005

Simple Coversion: Master of the Arsenal with a Grey Knight Halberd. Do some work on his power fist and you got a Vulkan with his helm off.

I quite like the vulkan on the other forum...im a bit picky though...i think that the relic blade could lk a little bit better (will mess around with parts when i get them) and the cloak is ok but i was thinking it with more parts (will also mess around a bit)...hmmm...lks like i need to go buy some parts

Problem I have with the GK turned into Vulkan is the GK iconography (read: Liber Daemonicus) dead center of the power armour. it really...detracts the Sallie feel for me.
Other than that, GK Nemesis weapons make excellent Relic Blades, period.

The spear is right and the lizard heads lk awesome...i will def use that idea  ...i plan to make the flamer come off the fist a bit more though...they seem to be squashed up when they dont have to be. Maybe putting it on the side of the fist will make it lk better...not sure...im gunna lk at cost of bits tomoz and see if i can start as soon as i get the money. When i get it i will post some pics (if i remember :smt016 ) hehe...thx for the help guys...as before if u get any better ideas just post them and i will c if they will work for me :smt005

Rather than flamers for the arm mounts, why don't you try to get a hold of a few hand flamers? Putting this under the wrists, similar to how a dreadnaught has it's heavy flamer/storm bolter attatched could look really cool. Also, hand flamers are pretty small, pretty small can also mean a high level of technology.
If you want to go all out, I'd recommend starting off with Marneus Calgar's legs and base which will give you a fair bit of height. Green stuff the legs to make them look more like power armour rather than Terminator armour. Use a standard torso but bulked out a little to fit the termy legs. Regular arms, pads a head and backpack with the larger legs will give you a taller Lord character and the body/leg ratio also looks more heroic.
That's the method I tend to use for Lord/Commander models.

Odd, I imagined the 'guantlet of the forge' to be a power fist looking situation.
That being said, I'd use Huron's model and add a grey knight spear. You'll have to add a different head and some non-chaos icons.

Huron also has a lot of roughly broken armour and bionics going on around his neck and chest, so some sculpting would have to be done.
I wouldn't recommend using Huron. Going from loyalist to chaos is fine, but converting from chaos to loyalist can be tricky due to the amounts of "special" bits.

hmmm...thx for the suggestions but im thinking of just using a grey knight as it will be easier to do...

Bah, go on! Be the ambitious converter! It's mightily rewarding! :p
