In the Apocalypse book, is the Barbed Hierodule's save just regular (not inv.) 3+?

If so, what is going to wound it that isn't AP:3(-)?

If I remember how gargantuan creatures work, wouldn't an autocannon be able to wound it? Other tyranid weaponry? Ork weaponry?

I just mean, it will be very hard to wound something that is T:8 with a weapon that isn't AP:3 just due to the nature of high strength weapons.

It seems a bit odd to me not to give the thing some sort of invulnerable save.

Wraithlords don't have invulnerable saves... if that's any consolation.

All weaver weapons (in fact, much of the Eldar arsenal :-(), missile pods, etc...

Add to that, all Tyranid range weapons, Tau Firewarriors...

I'm sorry I was being a bit facetious.

Most things that would easily wound it would ignore its armor save. I would say even the weaver weapons should only wound on 6 since it states that sniper and poisoned weapons only wound on 6, but RAW I guess they would still wound on w/e number.

RAI I would say otherwise.

Either way, it is of really no consequence since I don't have them but I was reading the rules and wondered if I had missed something.

Guess not.

Woops, I was thining of Wraith/D-cannon.

Either way, a S:6 weapon would only wound on 6's.

Warlocks and Seers wound on 2+ :P

Yeah that. I should have said mono-filament weapons, not weavers. But then I'd have been wrong about kisses. Oh well.

Seriously. We Eldar have a strange love / hate relationship with armor. Not to mention a whole host of weapons that makes shitty piles of fizzing wrecks out of light to medium vehicles, yet strangely leave dudes in flak vests unscathed. How do we do that? Mysterious huh? Weird ain't it?

See, that's pretty much our whole gig right there. You just can't get us. Yep, brooding and mysterious.

Have you read the rules for Gargantuan creatures in the apoc book?

Dont they have structure points like a vehicle...only called something else. Which need to be removed before you can wound it etc. Check out the rules for the titan guy and compare.

Nah, they had mass points before, but Apoc removed them and and just gave them a bucket load of wounds.
