New video, introducing the Blood Ravens. Some cool new footage. Also, that was the most oversized sniper rifle i've ever seen...

Pretty cool, your right about the sniper rifle.

I think that this one is cooler though. http://pc.ign.com/dor/objects/14243516/ ... 82008.html (http://pc.ign.com/dor/objects/14243516/warhammer-40000-dawn-of-war-ii/videos/dow2_meet_the_tyranids_082008.html)

When is it to be released again?

Blood Ravens... They're starting to get old now, even more so that they don't really have that much texture in their fluff...

Oh well, It might be late for christmas, but it's just in time for my birthday!!

YAY FOR TYRANIDS!!

If you can play Company of Heroes on your comp, you can play DoW 2

Which is good for me, cause I has CoH =D

At least with DOW you could re-skin them in game to look like the Lamenters, no luck here because DOW 2 has no intention of supporting mods.

Copy that right off the manufactourer website did we? :D

Yeah that should run it easily.

Wait what...? What graphics card? (Don't say it's onboard or that changes things!)

Sweet, my laptop covers all of that except that the OS is Windows XP. Will that make a difference?

yerp I reckon it'll still suppourt Win2000 too. Don't ask why. They're dropping any Windows 98 suppourt think its safe to say XP will be compatible

Nope ran a Dxdiag.

I have a Nividia Go Geforce 7600 which is more than enough to play Company of Heroes full wack without lag

Oldblivion was a fantastic mod for this - It took Oblivion down to the stage where my godawful laptop could play it quite happily, with no real problems.

You'll be fine then! :D Judging by the graphics they're showing in the video they're on maximum, if not then we'd better start shitting bricks.

@ Tarion - I unfourtunately only discovered Oldblivion shortly after spending nearly £2k on building a gaming PC. They say it'll run on budget price netbooks too which is making me weep ever so slightly! Might try it on my Aspire One.

Wait what? Are they mental?

Don't game developers get that 'mods = good' by now?
I mean, let's look at Valve.

I mean, let's look at Valve. :roll:What they've said is that they don't want people modding the campaign. I'm not sure if there have been any other "anti-mod" quotes.
So single-player mods, fine. But:
Because DOWII is a game with progression at it's core, letting people mod the campaign and make all loot/xp/talents available in their mods would really compromise the experience in our opinion.

EDIT: And you know, I'm not surprised. Soulstorm failed, if I remember correctly. It just wasn't hugely popular. And who do you think is getting the blame? Definitely not Iron Lore, but instead, the fact that players could get all it's content for free, basically.
