Do SM Bolters using hellfire rounds have strength 4 (seen as they're bolters) for the purposes of poison? or do they not get the re-roll?

The codex says that you replace the bolter's profile with a profile that is the same as a bolter except that it has Strength X. Going by RAW, the bolter has no strength value and just wounds on +2.

My 2 cents.

EDIT: It's like a sniper rifle. They have no S value and always wound on +4.

Re-roll only applies in close combat according to the Poison rule. P42.

The stats per page 100 of the SM codex do say Poisoned(+2).

Yes, I read that. P100 isn't even relevant to the conversation.

Did you read p42 of the rulebook?

Re-roll for Poison only applies in CC, a gun can have Strength 1 bazillion, it still don't get to re-roll it's Poison roll.
