Part II:

Welcome to Advance Tactica of Ghost Warrior Armies.

I’m rather sure that you are quite proficient in using those wraithguards or at least have a darn good familiarity with them now. If not, you need to read Ghost Warrior Army Tactica.

This topic is to insert Independent Characters in your list be it a farseer to Eldrad or even an autarch to Yriel, even a Phoenix Lord will do too.

First, look at your list and or even ask a few friends that you know who are knowledgeable, even us here in the PoC: Iyanden to see what you are lacking in it, since your own vision might be biased at this point.

Second figure out if this is viable, if you have the miniature(s) or not.

Third address the possible problem by alternate means or direct means.

1. Alternate means = new units either by switching or cross cutting points from other units.
2. Direct means = this is the actual Advance Tactica, insert your high powered CC characters as a support for CC counter or even as a torpedo to attack other units.

Eldar Independent Characters usage:

Eldrad – he is probably one of the best solution if you need 2 farseer but only have 1 open slot left.

Yriel – awesome fluff character, but he’s also quite dangerous in CC support.

Phoenix Lords – just about all these characters are deadly as an add-on to a wraithguard unit.

Avatar – he doesn’t join any of the units but he’s a grave threat to anything your opponent does, so he becomes a shooting magnet.

Will add more, just sleepy at the moment.

The best way is to build your base troops then work your way up, meaning get your 20 wraithguards and 2 spiritseers.

Play as much as you can with these guys to get as much feel of the army as possible. You really need to learn how fast you can reach certain areas and what do you need to do to accomplish it. We’re not the fastest army, although we’re resilient and feared army.

Do remember, no amount of playing amounts to the tactics that you learn in playing a Ghost Army. The best part about it is that you partly apply what you learn here to other foot-slogging army out there.

Heavy Support 3 Wraithlords is really nice, although I try to keep it at max of 2 to emplace a Fire Prism as a tank breaker for that S9 AP2 cupcake.

HQ is a bit accelerated, since I use Eldrad to eliminate having 2 farseers and it gives me the option to pick up an Avatar or Yriel for 155 points.

The whole army that I have described to you has little defense in getting tar-pitted by your enemy, but they’ll more than likely think about it.

Do try this:

HQ
Eldrad [210]

Troops
Wraithguard x10 [396] Spiritseers +1, Conceal
Wraithguard x10 [396] Spiritseers +1, Enhance

Hvy
Wraithlord [155] BL/EML, Flamer x2
Wraithlord [155] BL/EML, Flamer x2
Fire Prism [160] Holo, Stone

This is a base form of my army and I usually build it from there. I meant I just add from here or tweak from this.

Ah, exquisite start. I think this army will look quite nice. And I don't worry about the low body count, I play Grey Knights so this should be a moderate transition. :) Thanks for the update.
