So, are there any books that involve the Tyranids? Everyone I've ever looked at involved Chaos/Imperium/Orks.

the 2nd book in the ultramarines series is about the defense of a system against an invading hivefleet.. forget the name of it

A couple of the Cain books have Tyranids involved. 1 using Genestealer Hybrids mixed with Pure Strain and another involving a world being assaulted by a Nid Hive Fleet.

There's a book called Desert Raiders, from the view point of a Tallarn(dunno, if it's them, some guys riding sentinals).
Obviously its from an Imperial V.P but it involves 'nids

Warrior Brood involves bugs ... pretty good too, bugs that have abosorbed Eldar DNA and are more pyschic.

It's done by C.S. Goto, It's not that great. In fact it's a bit of a butchering of 40K fluff. (especially the inquisitor chick not knowing of Space Marines and she is that ignorant that she thinks Marines are 'Just ordinary soldiers' through the entire book.)
Nah, go for Warriors of Ultramar. It's a bloody awesome read and you read a bit more what actually happens and how they manage to take out a bit of hive fleet Leviatan.

I liked it, it as one of my first Space Marine Novels. The inqusitor chick was annoying ... but I also liked the space battle, the inquisitor lord drama, a mysterious chapter ... good read imo ... but tomato tomato

It was one of my first too when I read it, waaaaay back before the number of my W40K novels had hit three digits.
There are plenty of better SM novels out there, a few Nid ones too. Mind you the space battle was probably the best bit out of the whole story.
If you want SM books, go for the Ultramarine series, Read Brothers of the Snake. For space Battles, read Execution hour. For Nids, read the ones suggested above.
But for books by C.S. Goto, I just feel they were written for kids 8-12 years of age who are new to Warhammer, and don't know much of the background or want to read anything too intelligent.
These is just my 5 cents worth on C.S. Goto's works.

They are still letting Goto write those books? I assumed after the Blood Ravens failure he was just quietly sent away.

There is a short story in "Let the Galaxy Burn" about some Space Wolves that get onboard a hive ship.

Warrior Brood is nice and quick (If your a fast reader or not) and Desert Raiders was entertaining. Even though I love nids and all the most -- I found the most interesting book i read was the "Dark Apostle" involving Chaos and IG. Delightfully blood quenching.

Yes, yes you were. Read Brothers of the Snake for the one you should've started with.
