Eldar Sniper Rifle, Sniper Keyword, Pathfinder Upgrade Q's

Heya Guys,

Alrighty, my question has to deal with the Eldar codex and the new 5th Ed rules for Sniper. No one knows what to agree upon, and I'de like your input.

Pathfinders

Option 1:
ToHit : 5 and 6 + for AP1
ToWound :6+ for AP2 and vehicle D3

Option 2:
Is the rule going to be transferred over to rending?

ToWound: 5, 6+ for AP2 and vehicle D3?

Option 3:
Remove rending (even though the weapon has sniper) and only do 5 and 6's on hit for AP1?


These are the three different interpretations of the rule I have heard. Each option has been interpreted mutually exclusively. How do you guys handle it? What are people doing in tournies?

RAW would have it that you roll to hit following the Pathfinder rules. Then you roll to wound following the sniper rifle rules. Basically, option 1. There is no reason why you would join the two since there is no rule stating it. Nor is there any rule joining the two mutually exclusive rules together.
