View Full Version : Core question
Is there any point in putting more than the min limit of core choices in your army? Like are their important things that only Core can do or something?

Depends which army you play?
Some armies have great Core in the context of their lists, or at least some of their builds eg Dwarves, Empire, WoC.

Yeah, like Bag's said, it really depends on your army. My Current Orc and Goblin army for example ...
1 Lord
3 Heros
7 Core
3 Special
1 Rare
I feel that Warhammer Should, where possible, be played with Block Infantry, it just looks right. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't ever play an all mounted force, or even a mainly skirmishing one, but you know, nothing else looks as impressive as that many men all layed out. However saying that though. Out of those 7 Core.
1 is Hard Hitting (Savage Orc Big Uns)
2 are Shock Pads (Choppa, Light Armour and Shield Orc Boys)
2 are Fanatic Delivery/Greater Daemon Shooting (Night Goblins)
2 are Fast Cav (Wolf Riders)
Not all armies have that same flexabality as Orc and Goblins though :)
I was just wondering really. I'm currently trying to play Tzeentch heavy DoC, but I don't really own a lot of horrors. I have quite a few heros and flamers though. So that was why I was asking. I'll post a list later.

Well, Horror spam is generally considered "unfriendly" as I understand it, so yes, lots of Core is good in TzDoC, but it will probably upset people.
Would about 50 be considered a spam? Seriously, it sounds like I could be overwhelmed in 2k or 2250 point games.

It's hit and miss. LGS (Not the GW) guy is doing a Tz themed list with a lotta Horrors and basically if rolls go bad for him he loses, rolls good for him he wins. No in-between.
