Rather than fill up the forums with pictures, I thought I may use a blog to show the progression I will be making on my new Ork Warboss and whatever else I feel like posting Piccies to follow

I managed to get hold of a cheap, but incomplete Thrakka in power armour model so I decided to customise him to make a proper warboss for my Army Boyz orks. The main issue I had was getting him to stick together properly! The original owner had used tonnes of glue and I removed it all. Now I know whey he used so much! I ended up having to combine milliput and super glue just to get it stuck and it will take more miliput to make it secure, not to mention covering the gaps. The plan for my warboss: 1. create a new power klaw because some of it is missing 2. place an armour plate across his chest with the Army Boyz' star 3. remove the power jaw thingy 4. create a new boss-pole as the original thrakka one doesn't fit in with my military theme

thin drill you can use by hand twisting. and thin piano wire from the hardware store (its always by the wooden dowels display here). and you just need a very short pin. like an 1/8" long for a small model. the pin doesnt have to match the hole size too much. leave a little room for the super glue to hold onto.
Ok here are the first pictures of the new Warboss in mega armour There's still some way to go yet such as the chestplate. I'm also tempted to give him a combiflamer, but I'm not sure. I also need a name for him - General Deffklaw?
