FAQs & Useful 40k Resources [READ THIS FIRST]

This Sticky is to create a list of links to useful gaming resources (obviously ).

Remember: think carefully about whether a resource infringes GW IP (eg. is a reprint of something GW hasn't made freely available).

    Re: Useful 40k Gaming Resources

    Great idea Bara.

    Here's my contribution:

    Links removed.

I've always found these forumites to give good, helpful advice whilst also knowing the rules. Plus Ron writes awesome tactica (when finished... COUGH*Csm*COUGH ) and Mechboy generally writes some good 40K philosophical stuff, whereas Tarion is just Tarion...

Oh and this should really be mentioned - some people seem to miss it quite a bit of the time:

    Forum: Copyright Info

    Lance's blog<--- It's new!
    Lance's Twitter feed

"When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down "happy". They told me I didn’t understand the assignment.
I told them they didn’t understand life."

    Re: Useful 40k Gaming Resources

Great call on the rules links. *adds*

I've removed the member links because:
    1. It's not really fair to set members up for taking PMs (at least without their express permission)
    2. Unless someone wants to speak to a particular person, they should really throw the question out to the Forum, it encourages other people to get involved
    3. The Forum is a Q&A/discussion resource, the idea here is to create a list of resources people can go to, take away and use, so they should be "finished" documents or detailed outlines of ways of doing things
    4. The sort of members we're talking about will usually see the topic and contribute anyway

Also, if people have Tacticas etc they want to write/finish (*prods Ron again*), this is a good reason to

It's not your computer. The problem you're having is an unforeseen result of the switch of forum software. Any internal links created before the switch don't lead to anything, so they are redirected to the main site. I couldn't tell ya if Andy has a fix in the works or not.

Dr. Manfredel is wrong. That kind of thinking is never justified.

Ya, that's what I was thinking might be the solution as well. Hmmm...

K, the links should be sorted (for this thread, at least).

All the 40k FAQ links are up to date and the new Spearhead Rules link is up. I'll look at the rest over the weekend
