Auxiliary Grenade Launcher?
Is it worth to take with a captain? It gives you the ability to shoot a grenade after your done shooting. My cap has a storm bolter and I want to see if it's really worth using.

On a shooting Captain - if you've got a few points spare it could come in handy. A S6 shot at BS5 is always welcome on the off chance that there's that Rhino/Trukk that needs blowing up.

Well, it can be useful if it can soften a unit before you charge, or something. The short range hurts a little, though, so it'll look best on something fast, like a Jump pack, or a bike, or something.

In smaller point games I've been having a bit of success with:
Captain
RB
Combi Melta.
Stick him in a combat squad with a flamer and a PW sgt, and you're set

A blast weapon is always useful if he'sabout to get into CC with a big mob of enemies. Even taking out a couple of men from that big 20 strong horde of Orks/ Guardsmen/ Gaunts could push the balnce towrds you.
I'm Irish and proud of it.
I play Marines and Orks. No I'm not a newb. I just got very lucky when AoBR came out.
