    Alright, edited version:

The Filii Sangui are a successor chapter of the Night Watch (Segmentum obscurus) .
The Red Sons are themselves active in the segmentum obscurus, their task not to uphold the defenses at the gates of the Ocularis Terribus, but to defend the worlds and systems that are held by man nearby. For it is so, that the Astartes Praeses is occupied with fighting the forces of Chaos, that they do not have time defending the billions of people in the nearby systems from threats such as Orks or Eldar, nor can they stop every small chaos unit from breaking through their defenses unnoticed to harass the innocent civilians in the proximity.
And so the High Lords of Terra decided that one chapter out of the Astartes Praeses who had resources and ability would help form a new chapter.
As it is commonly known, the Night Watch has next to always had more than enough marines under its command, and they had at the time of the founding no shortage of supplies and technology. Thus it was decided that they would donate some of their marines, geneseed and technology to found a new chapter.
It is unknown which founding this chapter was part of, but we do know that it has existed for at least 1500 years, and it’s role in the galaxy has always been that they will defend the civilian worlds in the proximity of the Ocularis Terribus, since the other chapters nearby are far too occupied with Chaos to be able to do so themselves.

The beliefe of the Filii Sangui is that the emperor is not a God, nor is he human. Instead has he been raised to a god-like level of might and consciousness by a higher power, unknown too man. They are not loyal to the emperor, but to the faith in mankind, and the hope for survival and eventually sovereignty over the galaxy, together with the ultimate riddance of the Chaos Threat. Or at least that is what they dream of.

Since their enemy is not one, but many, they must keep their soldiers trained in every kind of warfare, and their technology easily adaptable to whatever force they might face. Although this usually requires balance in the type of warfare executed by the chapter, the Filii Sangui are far more reliant on force than speed, so the devastator squads are many, while the land speeder squads aren’t as common. It can be said that the chapter is adhere to the Codex Astartes, with the exception that they favor devastator squads, while avoiding deployment of speeders and bikes on the battle-field.
The chapter is consistent of 10 companies, which in their turn consists
of 100 marines, meaning there is a total of 1000 marines
    in the chapter.

Their mark is that of the greek letter Omega, symbolizing that they are the absolute end of their enemies. Their main colour are Scab Red, to represent the blood of the thousands of enemies they have slain to defend the Astartes Praeses.
They are detailed in Blood red, to represent the blood they will shed in the future, and skull white to represent the chapters hope of a better future,
    a future without Chaos.
    Does that work?

In the far reaches of the ultima segmentum there were reports of tyranid colonies invading imperial space. The ultramarines sent one of their 7th company to a galaxy called IIIii when monitoring the planet from space they recieved a report that a tyranid splinter of the hivefleet behemoth was heading their way and they must intercept it. The 7th company engaged the splinter fleet in a massive space battle, The tyranid ship was destroyed but thousands of spores were deployed too the surrounding planets before the destruction of the transport ship. The 7th company deployed squads with thunderhawk gunships all over the galaxy, then more tyrannid splinter fleets began to arrive. The 7th company fought honorably but had suffered great damage to their main ship "The Eagle Bearer" in the first battle, in a desperate move the Eagle Bearer tactically retreated behind the main planet of the system "Planet 41" which hadn't even been named yet. As the ship circled around and the tyranid ships approached all seemed lost. Captain of the 7th company ordered all unneccesary soldiers to the operation of the ship to drop pod down onto planet 47 while the "eagle Bearer" would hold as long as it could and hopefully bring down the 'nids with it. THe Eagle Claw took out one of the two ships chasing it and then recieved massive damage from the other one. In one last act of dying vengeance the eagle bearer crashed into the last tyrand ship and both ships then fell victim to the gravity of planet 47. They crashed with maximum loss of life. The surviving marines of the 7th company and the survivors of the crash of "The Eagle Bearer" valiantly fought the remaining tyranids for several months. Eventually they won the battle for the broken remains of their beloved ship. Transmissions had come from the ultramarines homeworld that they were now cut-off from from all help and they were on their own now. The remains of the 7th company decided it was their duty to eradicate all tyranid presence in the galaxy. Using their precious few thunderhawks they traveled from planet to planet hunting down the tyranid threat one by one. The 7th company built a stronghold out of The Eagle Bearer's wreckage and with the thousands of ship members that were not marines, they started to populate the planet. Unbenownst to the 7th company, the way the planets rotated, they had no communications with the rest of the imperium. THe marines felt forgotten and left behind to die. Over the next 150 years they strayed from the values and virtues of the ultramarines. THey renamed themselves the brotherhood of the bloody eagle, but are most commonly known as "Eagle's Vengeance". They had their techpriests create a geneseed and even though it wasn't the same as all the other chapters geneseeds, the eagles vengeance feel it is superior to all others. Over time the Eagles vengeance populated the whole galaxy and regained contact with the imperium.

The eagles vengeance have a general distrust of the imperium, they believe in always helping people that are in need though. They are excellant tyranid fighters and use mass infantry with heavy weaponry to lay waste to their enemies. They use small ships to attack their targets and then disappear on a nearby planet, where it is believed they set up a small colony. THe exact number of the Eagle's vengeance is unknown but it is believed that they have small outposts and colonies near every populated planet in the imperium. Their colors are blue like the ultramarines but their shoulder pads and knee pads are painted red to show the blood that was shed in their founding. Little information is known on the chapter, all that is known has been recovered from abandoned outposts of presumed "deathworlds"

    Chapter: The Sentinels

    Homeworld: Cocytus, Ultima Segmentum

The World of Cocytus is a miserable, dark ice world known for it's extremely harsh climate and a total lack of life providing sun. Why the world was ever colonized is difficult to tell as the records have long been lost. Those who live on the harsh world are a fearless and hardy people with excellent night vision. The population of the feudal world lives under ground in vast tunnel complexes and rarely ventures to the surface. The warriors of the underground kingdoms are often recruited by the Marine chapter that was only recently placed on world.

The Sentinels Chapter has built a large above ground Fortress Monastery referred to by the Chapter as Dis. Dis follows the standard codex guidelines for the construction of a Fortress Monastery and its ramparts and walls are covered in thick sheets of ice blown onto the construct by the high powered winds that sweep constantly across the flat surface of the planet.

Dis is built high upon a mountain, accessible only by a long and winding ramp of ice and dirt just wide enough to fit a pair of Land Raiders side by side. A huge adamantine archway guards the door, barred with equally large gates of the same material. Above the gateway stands a statue of the three headed beast known as the Cerberus, which lives on the surface of Cocytus. The central head of the statue looks straight down over the star port that was constructed just in front of the gate. The left most head gazes upward into the stars and is said to be perfectly aligned with the stellar location of the Eye of Terror, so that the beast is ever watching for the threat of Chaos from afar. The right most head gazes also into the stars, but it's eyes look towards the heart of the Imperium, watching for the threat of Chaos from within. Below the statue, engraved in bold letters across the archway, are the words: "Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here."

This phrase, modified to "Abandon All Hope" is the phrase all Sentinels, but especially the Purifiers, utter to allies when first they meet. The expected response is "For Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment."

Now that the Sentinels Chapter has passed into its third century of existence great statues of the Chapter's heroes have begun to line the walkway leading to Dis. The first of these is founding Chapter Master Caen, standing with his great hammer held over his shoulder and his gaze cast down upon the walkway.

    Parent Chapter/Primarch:

The Sentinels were originally founded using Ultramarines geneseed, but unknown to the rest of the Imperium, the Sentinels make use of a number of illegally obtained geneseed patterns. Most of this geneseed was taken from Tithe ships headed for Mars over long periods of time by Lord Inquisitor Broken Wing, who secretly founded the Chapter. As a result the Sentinels are an extremely secretive Chapter, willing to fight anyone who might discover their secrets and unlikely to share even the most basic information with allies.

    Organization:

The Librarians are organized in the most unusual way which resembels cults, rather than actual Imperial organization.

There are ten groups of Librarians, each attached to a specific company but their number order is reversed so that the Ninth Circle is attached to the Second Company, rather than the Nineth.

The First Circle of Librarians consists of the Chapter's most inexperienced Librarians, those Battle Brothers who have only rescently joined the Chapter and begun their Librarian training. These men are watched closely by the leaders of the Chapter for the first signs of corruption or falling to Chaos. Those who fail are...removed.

Of the Circles the Tenth is the most powerful, it's members are drawn from the members of the First Company and as such they are most disciplined and powerful Librarians in the Chapter. They also form an advisory council for the Chapter Master and in times of great need form the Chapter Master's Command Unit.

The Ninth Circle is the group from which new members of the Tenth are drawn and the members of both Circles are gifted some of the Chapter's most powerful artifacts.

My homebrew chapter, the Dragon Knights, a chapter dedicated to high ideals, whose founding is shrouded in secrecy. More fluff to come as soon as I write it and find an appropriate place to post it.

I dont have much combat history for my homebrewed chapter because I'm still building them and I'm going to write their histories as I play

    Chapter: The Emperor's Crusaders
    Founding Chapter: The Imperial Fists
    Chapter Master: Carazak Tyr
    Homeworld: Imperialis

Background: Founded in the Cursed 21st Founding, the Emperor's Crusaders were thought lost were en route to their new homeworld, they were engulfed in a massive warp storm. For them, they were only trapped for a few minutes, arriving shortly thereafter at their new homeworld. But for the physical universe, thousands of years had passed.

Upon arriving at their Homeworld, they found an ork infestation that the local populace had barely been able to keep under control. The Emperor's Crusaders trapped the Orks, but rather than killing them, trapped them in an Ork Containment Area (more on this later).

They have spent the last 100 years leading up to the present constructing their Fortress Monastary and gathering new recruits from the populace, but are now ready to set out on their crusades in the name of the Emperor.

Recruitment: Anyone on Imperialis can submit an application to the Crusaders, those who pass are paired up in a 1v1 tournament. Those who win their duels are made into full-Space Marines (organs, gear, all that good stuff).

However, they are not yet fully initiated. They must pass one final test. These new Space marines are dropped into the Ork Containment Zone.

To pass, they may team up or go lone wolf, the Crusaders don't care. What counts is that you kill Orks and survive in the Containment Zone for one full month.

Those who survive become full members.

Organization: The Chapter is divided into three Crusader Armies (more may be created as new members join). Each Crusader Army has a specialty, the 1st Crusader Army is tank heavy, the 2nd is melee and fast attack heavy, and the 3rd is infantry heavy with a combination of speeders, scouts and medium tanks.

Fluff: The Emperor's Crusaders are not against allying with the likes of the Tau or Eldar, preferring to focus on what they deem to be the Imperium's greatest threats: namely the Orks, Tyranids and Chaos.

Their combat doctrines laid down by Carazak consider any Crusader's corpse to be a priceless Chapter Relic, be it a scout or dreadnought or anywhere inbetween, that should be recovered to be properly buried in the Necropolis beneath the Fortress Monastary.
It also states that the corpses of any combatants should not be defiled, as any warrior, enemy or not, is worthy of the respect given to a warrior whom has died in combat. (however the doctrine notably excepts "barbarians" from this rule: specifically, Chaos, the Orks, and Necrons.)

    Very insightful.

A quick search for "Dethbringers Space Marine" shows ... Legos. Mostly Legos, anyway. There's also someone's wedding pictures (I guess) and a minotaur. Not a Space Marine Minotaur, but a pissed off looking half-bull thing minotaur.

Jagannthan Space Marines - fluff update.

Premogenitor Chapter: Storm Lords (and by extension, White Scars Legion).

Just before the 13th Black Crusade started, the Jagnannathan 8th under their Captain Jayendra were under going field training exercises to the Galactic West of the Eye of Terror, deep into unknown territory. The idea was to school the newly raised Brothers in the arts of rapid warfare, using speed and hit and run tactics against any foes they could find in places hostile to most known life. Joining Captain Jayendra was Epistolary (unknown name yet) who would help supervise their training and watch out for any psychic potential and to guard against unforeseen Warp incursions.

Captain Jayendra was given command of a small Battlebarge to enable him to carry out his mission better, this also being his first real test of command. No sooner had they embarked upon their training, the 13th Black Crusade started and all Brothers were recalled with immediate effect to their Chapter to begin the fight back.

Unfortunately, during a Warp jump their vessel came under attack from an unknown source and they were forced to exit the Warp far sooner than they intended. Damaged but serviceable, they made for a nearby planet which the saw was under siege by enemy forces. Cut off from the Chapter with little in the way of resources, Captain Jayendra sought to start a guerilla war against the Chaotic invaders. This war of hit and run saw casualties as was expected, the Companies' sole Apothecary doing the best he could. Each Brother soon learnt how to maintain their bike as they would their armour, and if any pieces were damaged beyond repair, they were salvage discarded pieces from the battlefield. Epistolary Sharp would purify the pieces as best he could from any taint of the Warp, with any pieces that could not be used being discarded. Each Brother was continually tested for purity, and to date none have been found wanting. Even so, the most challenging pieces to master have gone to those Brothers who's souls are known to be the strongest, and is why the Sergeants ride reclaimed Chaos bikes which have been purified in the name of the Emperor.

Still they fight on, their Battlebarge sending out a signal to any Chapter nearby who can assist, but for the mean time they stand and fight for the name of the Emperor to remove the taint of Chaos from the planet they are coming to call both home and hell.

Their leader, Captain-Knight Jayendra and Librarian-Knight Sharp with the Command Squad:

    Captain Jayendra.

Newly appointed to the rank of Captain-Knight of the 8th Company, Jayendra sought and got his Masters' permission to take the entire 8th and some support staff on a scouting mission around the perifery of the influence of the Eye of Terror, to the Galactic West. His actions before this time are considered worthy of his appointment, having bested an Ork Nob Biker in single combat and even triumphed against a White Scar in a test of skill and speed. Such skill and dedication meant that his appointment was all but a matter of time, and when that time came he was honoured with much acclaim from his Chapter. Taking charge of the 8th Company, he led them on the seemingly simple mission to observe enemy activity without directly taking on the enemy. Should the need arise, they would fall back to a stronger position and take them on at their own terms. The 8th quickly gained experience in severing supply lines, harassing the enemy and honing their hit and run style of fighting.

It wasn't until they tried to leave the sub-sector to return to their Chapter that disaster struck - the Warp Engine had malfunctioned mid-jump, meaning that only small jumps could be made after their rash exit from the Warp. Making the best of what he had, Captain-Knight Jayendra instructed his Company to use all the skills they'd learnt to do what they could with what they had. Their mission has proven sucessful so far, but attrition has been inevitable. But still, he leads and they follow, willingly and without hesitation. The 8th would have it no other way.

    Librarian-Knight Sharp

Librarian-Knight Sharp, Epistolary of the Jagannathan Chapter's Command Staff volunteered to see some action alongside the newly raised Captain-Knight. It had been a long time sinse he'd seen some action on a bike, so felt the need to sharpen up his skills once more. That and he'd also had a suspicion that something would go awry, a premonition that has proven both true and extremely useful for the Company as a whole. Through his sage advice and psychic might, the 8th has triumphed where the odds have not favoured them, their purpose true and condition pure. Each new conflict they face brings new challenges and new threats, and where needed new equipment salvaged from the fallen. Those items which were once belonging to Traitors get examined and either discarded or purified where possible. Yet even then, only those Brothers who have proven the most resilient to the temptations of the Warp get to use such equipment. As yet, none have fallen, and under his watchful eye, none will.

    Veteran-Knight Large.

Notable Actions: Surviving against odds which should easily have killed him outright on more than one occasion before laying in with his Lightning Claw, Veteran-Knight Large has notched up a kill-count numbering in the hundreds in close combat. For a Brother-Knight of the 8th Company, one who is fairly early on the start of his career, this is exceptional and only beaten by the 8th Company's Champion and Captain.

    Veteran-Knight Foley

Notable Actions: In a recent campaign before being lost to the Galactic East, the Jagannathan 8th were deployed in support of a small detachment of Space Wolves. In one of the rare non-combat moments, Veteran-Knight Foley engaged one of the venerated Long Fangs in a drinking contest. And won. Sinse then, he's been held in liquid awe by the rest of the 8th Company, despite more visits to the Apothecary than perhaps is strictly necessary.

    Veteran-Knight Michael

Notable Actions: Also known affectionately as the Dark-Knight of the 8th, Veteran-Knight Michael once saved the life of a Dark Angels Captain. Not even the hardy Dark Angel would have staved off the attentions of a Carnifex easily, and were it not for the speed and quick thinking of Veteran-Knight Michael he wouldn't have. Having drawn the Carnifex's attention away from the Captain, Veteran-Knight Michael despatched it following a brief encounter and then took the Captain back to the Dark Angels' Command Post. Grateful, the Captain gifted the Veteran-Knight with a rare Storm Shield, which has sinse been carefully painted in the colours of the Jagannathan 8th.

    Veteran-Knight Bond

Notable Actions: Ever present, ever knowing and ever vigilant, Champion-Knight Bond has proven his worth many times over. Were it not for the fact that the 8th Company has been stranded in the Galactic East, he would have graduated up to the 1st Company by now and perhaps even to the rank of Captain. However, in the circumstances in which they find themselves, he is content in his role as Company Champion and unofficial bodyguard to Captain-Knight Jayendra. The Company regards him as the second in command, although officially it should be Librarian-Knight Sharp. This may well cause tension in other Chapters, but in the 8th it has not - both Librarian-Knight Sharp and Champion-Knight Bond know that in their current circumstances they're better off working towards their common goal than overriding eachother, and Librarian-Knight Sharp knows that he doesn't know the 8th even half as much as Champion-Knight Bond.

    Apothecary-Knight Danzig

Notable Actions: Grizzled and venerated, Apothecary-Knight Danzig has patched up every one of the 8th Company in some way or another. Where not possible, he's granted the Emperor's Mercy to them, but will endeavour to bring any wounded Brother back to fighting strength as soon as he can. A capable fighter as well, he's seen a thousand battle-fields and many more fall before the might of the 8th Company. It's a rare day indeed in which the 8th Company does not venture out with their Apothecary-Knight, even though he is the only one they have. "Far better to see to these young 'uns out there than in orbit" comes his reply, a taciturn quip which is expected and respected - many a Brother has been thankful for his ministrations in the midst of battle.

Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.
Cordova: In my head you're eight foot tall, always carry an officer's sabre, and speak like Theoden at the battle of Pelennor Fields.

Grey Knights don't go to heaven: they go to hell and regroup.
