    SoB Costume

    Hello,
Not sure this belongs here so please move it to where ever it needs to be.

I made my GF a SOB costume for Halloween, took about 3 weeks to make, I will be upgrading parts as I go along. I am also working on a working chainsword prop with wasn't finished in time.

Yeah, it's mostly heat shapped plastic and craft foam.

The chainsword is proving to be a pain in the arse.

I made the "blade" but it sags in the housing so I have to figure out a way to hold it up with out to much drag on the "chain". Drag will stop the motor from spinning the blades.

    Re: SoB Costume

    Hey all,
Thank you for all the kind words

Well, I got to work a bit on the Bolt pistol as the chainsword is still being a pain the butt.

It still needs some work, but I'm liking where it's going so far...

I want to beef up the back of the clip, it dosen't look right being that thin...

I have also started a quick "mock up" of a bolter based off the same base gun as the pistol. Just wanted to see how it would look..I think it's shaping up kinda cool. I'm thinking it will become a Chaos bolter for an upcoming costume...
I need to beef up that clip as well. It's hard to see, but there is a scope like site thingy at the back end of the gun.

    Re: SoB Costume

Well, with the new year comes new progress on the updated SoB costume.

I have started working my way down from the head.
Here are a few quick pics of the MOCK-UP of the Sabbat pattern helm I'm making.
I made this to test the scale and fit of a helm, the color scheme will be a black shell and white visor most likely.

    Colored more like this..

    Powerfist anyone?

Making a Powerfist to go with the new SoB suit I'm crafting.
This is a mock up of it for fit and scale, just like the helm.

    Re: SoB Costume

While waiting for things to cure and dry I made a quick holster for the Laspistol I have been working on. The laspistol is nearing the final stages, it's puttied and sanded, but not painted. I'm thinkng of doing the main body red with highlights in black and gold...

I have a few cool ideas to make the clasp for it, this will be a piece for a female commissar costume.

    Okay, some pics...

She was kind enough to pose for some pics so you can get a sense of scale.
