    Monstrous Creature Ammo

What does that mean? I'm looking at building a Hive Tyrant with wings (Flyrant?). I'm trying to decide between two scything talons or devourers. I'll probably run second Tyrant with guard. I'm still debating their config.

    Thanks again for the help.

Right now, 2 TL devurers are probably the best...but the new codex is coming out in 3 weeks. So i would either magnitize or wait if i were you.

Yeah, I was pondering the devourer but wasn't the sure what 'monstrous creature ammo' meant. I'll probably have a friend help/do the magnet stuff.

I've never even heard of 'monstrous creature ammo'. Unless someone was talking about Living amunition, which is the rule that lets you reroll wounds with devourers and fleshborers.

Seriously do the magnets. I have a tyranid friend who was too lazy to do it, and now he regrets it because now he has to spend more money to get carnifexes. Bitandkits.co.uk sells all the weapons, fyi, because if you want 3 "dakkafexes" (2 TL devoureres on each), you need 6 carnifex sprues i think, because they only give you a pair on each sprue.

    Re: Monstrous Creature Ammo

Monsterous Creature Ammo is a new rule for the new codex. Basically there is "normal" ammo on things like gaunts, then big baddies get more powerful versions of the ammo for their guns. A change from the old ways with every gun giving + or - some str value.

The user previously known as Gnomesbane. Couldn't you tell?
