    Grrr exorcist

So Whilst putting together my final exorcist, and debating for the 15th time if im going to throw it into the wall, i realized why its a pain in the ass....

its the best tank in the game, *Used to be the most expensive at 95$* and for the most underplayed all metal army....

GW built in a "Back door"!!!!! its such a pain in the ass they figure that people won't use the exorcist if its hard to assemble thereby keeping the SOB rare and unloved!!

-Hucks pipes into drywall- oooo they stuck 15 points for me!!!

Thats another thing, I was holding my other 2 pipe organ turrets, And they are solid and sturdy enough to be used as a weapon especialy because its jagged at the top.. or maybe i just use too much GS/SG and too many pins.. 3 pins, and a bunch of greenstuff...I always grind down the peg holes, and put pins there instead (on the bottom of the pipes) and fill the holes with greenstuff, and do a whole layer of GS on the bottom so its even.

    Re: Grrr exorcist

I think you're close, but a little off. I'm in the middle of assembling my first excorcist (yeah, I'm pinning the damn pipes, too -- two pins each for me) and I've come to the conclusion that the GW exorcist model is a ploy to increase FW sales for WH players. It worked for me; I determined that I'll use the pipe organ as a centerpiece to the army, so to speak, and just use FW exorcists for any additional ones I toss in over time.

It's taken me this long to break down and assemble the first exorcist because I could tell it would be evil just by looking at it in the kit. I got it in, and said "you know, maybe I'll just write lists with a lot of immolators in them instead."

    Re: Grrr exorcist

i did the immolator thing.... But nothing compares to the sheer power and ability to make an opponent cry like three exorcists. Although against tyranids... its almost debatable with blessed ammo.. Hopefully with the new codex, we can field them as fast attack squadrons... -drool-

I have a set up, of 3, 10 girl squads, and 2 celestians, with Flamer/heavy in rhinos. Against a guard player, on table halves, annihilation.

Denied flank, rhino collum 2 wide, 5 rhinos total. i destroyed the entire flank of his army on the first turn when i seized the infinitive.

I told him i hate annihilation, i even offered to re-roll it.. he quit at the bottom of 2 end of my 2nd turn, and i did not use a single faith point, And my cannoness never got to do anything... she just hung around waiting to counter attack with the rhino collum. (this was 1500pts.)

He only had 2 squads of guardsmen left, started with i believe 30 - 50. Denied flank rhino rush is the perfect sisters tacit imo for 5th ed.

3 exorcists isn't that bad though, when the opp has 4 ap3 pie plates, and 10 las cannons.

I got it together, Finlay.. 4 hours. Including green stuff work. I'd rather do this then the forge world one. Its so awesome its almost worth the pain.

the side panels stay on better if you use green stuff and super glue. (the metal things) This is the last one i have to put together... it took me 5 years to buy the last 2 i need, and the threat of an OOP army. I've put two, together this month. But in 6 years, my first exorcist, has never once fallen apart... So it might be said that its a pain, but it stays together for sure.

    Re: Grrr exorcist

I regret buying the exorcist model, and now it's just packed away in my army case, while I'm focusing on my fledgeling Ork army. The way to go imo with exorcists is to buy SM whirlwinds and then pimp them with loads of bits from the immolator/rhino set. I just can't be assed with the FW conversion kit, since I don't find it menacing looking enough

Although despite how hard it may be to put together, in the end it is still one of the most beautiful models in the army/game.

that said I am building/rebuilding my second second one(not a repeat, the first second one got lost in a move *sadness*) and have plans for an even more grand third.
