ideas for hero boosts
Hi Everyone,
I'm going to introduce hero boosts into the game. Basically, if you do something heroic you get a 1-time boost that you can put towards helping you in some way.
I need to develop a list of things that you can do to earn a boost.
two things:
Heroic Boost: Lets you do 1 of 4 things:
- Add a d6 to your actions. Normally you 'roll' 3d6 to see if you do something.
- Add 6 to your damage or results when you hit something.
- You may take a 1/2 recovery: i.e. you gain back half your REC in stun. This recovery is free and does not cost an action.
- Take a free non-attack or non-recovery action.
List Items:
So what should be on the list? I don't want anything that is a mechanical aspect of fighting like "knock out x number of super villains". I'd like items on the list to be fluffy, more on the role playing side, and specific to superheroes: e.g. save an innocent bystander or challenge an opponent who far outclasses you.
Ideas?

So how should we set up a response? Should we have a required condition(s) to use the boost, or something one does to get the boost that they can then just save for later use? So far what I can come up with is something like this:
Bat out of hell
-Gamewise: Fury runs at top speed towards an opponent and hits them with a violent amount of force (often in the form of a drop kick).
-Effect: Add 6 to your damage or results when you hit something.
-Requirement: First action must be to run at the opponent. May only be used once.
Something like that?
The day will not save them. And we own the night.
Arch: If hope were short buses we could drive straight to the special olympics.
Power Corrupts. Absolute power is kinda neat.
