T5 and 4+ equal the same save ratio of T4 3+ save. FNP and WBB all have their pro's and con's too.
FNP- Saves taken immediately, more likely to survive CC, USR so easy to understand.
WBB- Saves taken at beginning of turn (I like this- Your opponent has no idea what will get up, so it keeps them on their toes and confuses target priority.), AP 1/2 have no effect on the ability to take the WBB roll. Unfortunately, it has no bearing on CC survivability.
I would also prefer Stubborn, but I figured many would cry cheese. And besides, with T5 4+ save, I2, and taking saves at your next turn, even with stubborn there would be a better chance for the warriors cost to decrease to around 15 points or so, allowing you to field more.

All they should be doing IMO is move WBB (in its current form) to be taken after a failed armour save like FnP - hence why it maybe the rumours have it as FnP because it is being rolled for in that matter. I like the current way of doing it at the start of movement phase, but it can be fiddly and it would simplify things. Also, Ignoring AP1/2 is such a bonus over FnP from shooting for our T5 guys considering what weapons tend to have Ap1 and 2.
As for Warriors, the only stats i would change are WS / BS down to 3 - this would become :
WS3 BS3 S4 T4 W1 I2 A1 Ld10 Sv3+
Cost - 14pts

Or maybe, just maybe, have a Light Warrior and a Heavy Warrior? Light is pretty much as above, and the Heavy is T5 with Relentless.

If you read the fluff about Necrons, the thing to remember is that Warriors are drones - but with varying degrees of loosely termed "Humanity". Depending on the number of times they have been repaired determines how "coherent" they are. So in my view they wont be as skilled / honed as a marine but the fact that they are robotic means they would/could be as tough/strong as a marine.
The classification of Warrior and Immortal are fine as Warrior classifications, but for me Immortals represent the real "Necron" - hence why they need to be troops. Think of Immortals as Tyranid Warriors - a lot more with it and tougher, while Warriors are Termagants (scarabs as rippers
), the foot soldiers, the fodder, the endless swarm.
Anyway - Im rambling now - I hope the codex aligns the FOC much better and offers up more options.

Simple sentence:
(from one who would know these things)necrons has been finished and waiting for release for over a year now
Looks like any conjecture is out the window. Unfortunately, that's all I've got.

Arg! It's a shame that this happened to DE too. If they've got them done, why wait so long?

Build up the hype? Waiting for economy to stabilise so that people have more money to spend on 40k?

Finding a slot in between the other major releases so that each one gets their own shot at the limelight more likely.

Cool ! I hope that this is true - seems to me that a Q2'11 release is feasible then, if they are finished. However, if this is true, why have the rumours not been a bit more specific ? Does lead me to think that GW may release rumours themselves as an army nears its release date - I cant imagine an entire army that is complete for 5th Edition, that has a codex, moulds and models all in place, does not have more information out in the public domain.

How vague were the DE ones until the Codex had been read for a bit? Rumours which are solid are hard to come by, ever since Guard.

Very true - so what your saying is that the detailed rumours flying around for GK are there because the codex has been read and leaked ?

I'm not saying that no, as I think that most of that is little more than fanboi wishful thinking and skewed extrapolation. If it's all true, I'll eat my words, but as it stands it's a little too ... zomgwtfawesomesauce, know what I mean?

There are a lot of rumours that point to this year, however, the latest on the DE 2nd/3rd wave release seems to suggest that Grey Knights might get pushed back to May'10 - which means it may push other release dates back also. If its going to happen 2011, then Q3/Q4 is your best bet

It is Skaven 2nd wave in January, Blood Angels 2nd wave (bleh) in February, Orcs and Goblins 8th edition in March. After that, it is a crapshoot, given the strong rumors of both Grey Knights being the next 40k codex, and Dark Eldar getting the second part of their model release.
