    New Casual Player

    I am new to Warhammer 40k. I used to paint a lot of mini figures for my friends who used them for D&D, some of which were Games Workshop figures. I've always enjoyed the painting aspect of it and now I am interested in getting into the game. A friend of mine lent me his large Eldar and Space Marine army (he doesn't play anymore) and I finally found someone who is interested to play some casual games. So now I want to slowly build my own army while using my friends Eldar army to learn the game.

    So that's my story. I'm new. I'm a casual player (500 point battles to save time and money).

    .. 500 pt battles don't really allow you to gain anything beyond the requisites of 2 troops 1 hq...
