    "Shas'o! Requesting target priorities, over!"

"Target the ones with close combat weapons, shas'ui, over."

"...but, shas'o...they've all got close combat weapons!"

I cant give much feedback on how it would work as an army, all I can say is that it scares the sh** out of me...

    Re: 2000pts BA [Competitive]

I can only comment from the old codex, so I am in just as much of a haze as Imp is.

Looks like a good quick assault list to me. Reminds me of my Sand Snakes list sorta, but with lot less bikes

OK, I'm huessing Mephiston will be with the VAS or the HG, I'm not sure where you plan to put corbulo however, maybe in the rhino with one of the combat squads?

I'm also Guessing the squad with plasma/ML will be split into combat squads.

It looks like a solid list, there isn't really much you could change, I always try to give my Dreadnoughts venerable, I just don't trust the medium armour to keep it alive too long, I don't see anywhere you could comfortably drop 20 points though...

The way I've worked out controlling the DC.

Corbulo starts out of a chosen transport, obviously he will join one of the combat squads to ride with, while Mephiston actually joins the VAS.

Corbulo then rides forwards and is dropped off, while the DC stay back, so that next turn, since they arent in control, they just jump forwards into control, from there its pretty much open game.

And you are correct that the plasma/ml squad will be split.

I considered teh venerable, but like you said, its difficult to find those 20 pts...

Yeah, just in my experience a Dreadnought without venerable can be popped pretty easily, but with venerable they can be a pain in the ass to kill... I have a trait chapter with 6 venerable dreadnoughts and during a game my opponent will be lucky if he kills 1 or 2 of them
