I don't know whether to go with the same colour scheme for the 2 other Meganobs behind or go for a grey colour. I picked the yellow to look like the Dark Yellow early WW2 german vehicle colour

I normally build them up quite light and then apply a final wash of thinned Thraka green to smooth everything out. It worked really well with the camo paint on the Kommado orks as it makes it seem as if it is applied over green skin; in my opinion anyway

Anyone got any thoughts on the chapter I should use on the trophies on top of the Warboss? Do any have a particular emnity for orks?

Crimson Fists, certainly. They really don't like the Orks. But, how about mixing it up a little - do a Chaos one perhaps, Black Legion or World Eaters maybe.

Funnily enough, Crimson Fists did pop into my mind as I used to do an Epic CF Army. I also thought about the torso from one and the shoulder pad from another. I would like to have chaos, but I have none at all in the bitz box. Tau are OK, Marines are OK and I may have a spare eldar bit somewhere

Due to the German camo on him, I suggest you name the Warboss General or Field Marshall Von Orkstein. Von Manstein was one of the German commanders during the Battle of Stalingrad.

The different coloured teef are from the armour of enemies that have put up a decent fight against him; he's nice like that!

How do I change a thread's title? I wouldn't mind updating it to include the "Lumar Sept" Tau that I paint for my son to use





I'm not 100% happy with this as I did a wash to tone down the difference between the red and grey, but instead, it made everything look too streaky and dirty. I drybrushed to even this out a bit, but...
