GW does it again
Just discovered all 3 inquisiton branches are covered in codex GK and my witch hunter army list looks to be ruined. Thanks gamesworkshop. You managed to make seevral hundred dollars of miniatures useless.I think if i play i will just go back to 2nd or 3rd edition.personally like them better even if it does take longer.

It's a transitional period. Sisters will be back.
This week I am good-naturedly shaking my fist at: Baragash. For being unreasonably reasonable.
Sex, drugs and pointy ears.
Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.
Cordova: In my head you're eight foot tall, always carry an officer's sabre, and speak like Theoden at the battle of Pelennor Fields.
Grey Knights don't go to heaven: they go to hell and regroup.

Didnt have sisters in army.Did a fluff inquisiter army.Have the witch hunter and retinue,6 deathcult assassins,a vindicare assassin and 6 squads of arbites. As i said strictly fluff and probably would get killed in an actual game but like the looks and idea of the army.

With the addition of Coatez that army is playable with the GK Codex, though the Arbites shotguns will need to count as a bolter/storm bolter/hot-shot lasgun.

2 problems.1 i dont want Coatez and he is a demon hunter not a witch hunter and 2 i made the army around shotguns so the count as rule messes things up quite nicely. Why GW cant make up coedxes without making older armies obsolete without having to spend a small fortune is beyond me.Well this time i aint spending to make it legal, besides i can see people complaining already," you cant use those models.those are obviously shotguns and not bolters."

Make it clear to them that they're shotguns. If they argue that, that's their problem. It's not YOUR problem that your army got superceded. And I too thought it odd that there's no shotguns in there.
I suspect they'll reappear under Witch Hunters, but only time will tell.

I'm sorry, what again is keeping you from continuing to use the WH codex?
GW does not hate non-Space Marine armies. They just don't give a FAQ.
This song is totally the Battle of Prospero:
LanceWarrior: "1st rule of 40k forums rule-lawyering: Don't argue with Baragash"
Yahtzee: "It's like owning a giant swiss-army knife with 500 different little blades and one folds out into a mini-gun. There is no reason to use anything else."

Theres nothing to say that those same Inquisitors won't still be in the Sisters of Battle/Witch Hunters codex when it comes out.
Space Marines (Salamanders). W 23 / L 98 / D 28.
Last Opponent: Blood Angels, 2000pts, Loss!

That doesn't matter. Codices are entirely stand-alone. No-one's going to stop you from playing with you WH Inquisitorial army just because GK Inquisitors are better. That's your choice. On that note, there's this wonderful thing called count-as. It means your fluffy army can still work and be used with the GK codex. Don't want Coteaz? Then don't have him, use his rules to imitate a Witch Hunter.
