Dont believe so, think the warp spiders have a 2 shot weapon from memory. Good against hordes/lightly armoured enemies. Im assuming you mean the aspect warriors and not the big spinners?

Yes it was the Death Spinners. It's too bad they took away the neat template weapon and replaced it with an Assault 2. I always liked the fear the Warp Spiders would cause when I took out several flammer templates. Now they seem to be a gimmicky shooter unit with a mild risk retreat. (V_V)

Yeah, Im starting eldar myself this year as and when I get chance to build em. Warp Spiders are def on my 'want' list as I love the models
Not sure what weapon the exarch has though from memory... think you can take twin spinners and power blades but I could swear theres another weapon he can have.

Does anyone think that a 24" rapid fire would be better for warpspiders?
They still get their 2 shots at 12", but if they stood still they could get 1 24" S6 shot, then do their warp jump.
They are not going to hop into melee anyway. I don't think they should get the monofilament rules, although that would be shweeeet.

Warp Spiders are always in my army. They work against lightly armored tanks or transports with low armor. Thats when the Spinneret comes in handy +1 on the damage rolls and the S6 rips through light armored infantry. Powerblades are good for CC with the Exarch Power withdraw they can get out and they also get the extra jump in Assault phase instead of going in CC.
