Plus the fact they're 12" square, so are easy to guage distances when using it as a gaming surface.

This week I am good-naturedly shaking my fist at: Baragash. For being unreasonably reasonable.
Sex, drugs and pointy ears.
Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.
Cordova: In my head you're eight foot tall, always carry an officer's sabre, and speak like Theoden at the battle of Pelennor Fields.
Grey Knights don't go to heaven: they go to hell and regroup.

You forget Edmund...I have a gaming room.....with a moulded table.....I already know exactly how far apart everything is. *surreptitiously writes more dwarf stone thrower based army lists.*

Its the bonus of buying a house you intend to raise a family in......then not yet having a family. the two kids bedrooms can be used for gaming and having a friend sublet from you. Meaning money for models+space to play with them. Still arguing I now only want 1 kid not two so i don't lose my gaming room......My eldar and Necrons look so pretty displayed in there....they would probably scare the baby anyway.

Loft conversion, garage, extension, basement conversion (yes, they do exist) - plenty of options.

For me it will be Garage ! Next few months garden will be landscaped, which will include a tucked away shed, so everything that is in garage will be put in the shed - beyond that a slow conversion of the garage into a dedicated gaming room

I'm nearly done with a wave serpent and adjoined dire avenger squad when I dig out the camera for pics I shall take some pics of the gaming room as well.

I am painting, honest, but slowly and surely getting my first unit of Formosa Troopers (Acolytes) complete - I only get a couple of evenings a week to paint. Probably 60% done ahead of applying dark tone. Picture is not great at showing the highlighting of the cloth, but the red is built up with Scab Red, Blood Red, Blazing Orange highlight/dry brush - I will probably apply some Baal Red wash in the recesses as well to add more depth with the dark tone.

At least you should be able to see where I am heading with them

Beauty and the Beast for me please. I hear Arch is playing a lead roll, but won't tell us what.

Looking good with those Troopers there CJB, like them a lot! Your skillz have also come along very well too, they're looking very tidy.

Thanks both for showing interest in our upcoming performances !
As for Arch, he is very versatile and can fill any role - walks ever so naturally in heels !
cheers - I am keen to get these done - wont get to them until next week now but I am not far off now , maybe 3 or 4 sessions left.

when you say sessions. how long is a painting session for you.
recently to keep myself from losing interest i have had a tv series I have seen loads before on in the background (currently re-watching 24) Paint a little, watch a little, paint a little, swear as I scuff paintjob while jumping at loud explosion, restart while cursing jack Bauer, paint a little, watch a little.
All in all I can complete about 1 model every 2 or 3 episodes.

For what it's worth CJB, I generally paint in sessions which tend to top out around tw hours. Very often it'll be in 10 minutes stints - a bit here, a bit there etc. For large coats or squads, I'd get it down in one hit, which is often what takes the longest to do. But it all adds up, even 15 minutes an evening.

As some of you know I posted in the army list section for some help on what to spend 170pts in my list as the Callidus is being dropped for continually being very poor. I have posted a question on what about a Psyrifle Dread and Jokero for feedback.... but actually it makes a lot of sense and so just now ordered the following from FW :

I will actually stick the Autocannons on my existing Dread and use the arms from existing on the above dread - he looks more in your face to me
Just need to order the Jokero and problem solved

Good choice that man.

Tiny Update :
Even though i am poorly last night I managed to sit for a bit and I actually completed 2 Acolyte from my 10 man squad - that is painted and Dark Tone applied - really pleased with them, they definately fit with the scheme. They were really the tester for finishing the rest - i kinda got to that point where I am simplifying the end of them to get them complete. I think I will do some more tonight or tomorrow and get some pics up and then I will move onto the new Dread
I was going to have a break and move to Necrons for a bit but due to my change from Callidus to Psyrifle, it has spurred me on to continue and get as much done for the 21st April as Possible.
