Vampire counts 2000pts comp
The idea with this list is that it has some flexibility and all round effectiveness whilst retaining those rock hard blocks we all now know and love.
Vampire Lord.
Motba, Dark acolyte, avatar of death.
Earthing rod, helm of commandment, Talisman of preservation.
Vampire.
Lore of death.
Power scroll.
Vampire.
Dark acolyte, lord of the dead.
Dragonbane gem.
40 skeletons, spears, command
20 Ghouls, Ghast.
29 Grave guard, Great weapons, command, banner of the barrows.
4 Cairnwraiths (inc tomb banshee).
The idea is to operate around the 3 main blocks using the 40 man skeleton unit as a bunker for my General. The general is for offensive spells i.e wind/curse/gaze. The level 1 is for lore of death supercasting and character sniping and the final vampire is my invo man. +3 to each casting puts him up there with lord level dispellers.
My weaknesses as I see them are lack of options for invo as only one of my vamps is kitted out for it and it would be a waste for the others. Few units, always going to be a problem with VC but maybe splitting the 40 man down might be smarter ill have to see. And lack of fast moving units/ vamps. once the wraiths get out of 12" of the general im stuck as far as movement is concerned so they will have to take on a more defensive role. Maybe swapping them for a couch would be an idea? My biggest fear in this list is a purple sun build. I have a reasonable dispellability in this list but if a purple sun does go off chances are things are going to get messy real quick.
