    Forum Meetup Discussion

    Confirmed forum Meet up Details:
Forum meet to begin at approxmiately 11am on Saturday 1st October
I shall be in the train station at 10:30am and will guide anybody who doesn't know the way to warhammer world.
Minimum points level is set at 750pts. available for both doubles and singles games. Bring any amounts you like for singles matchs. Though I expect most games will be taking place at around 1500pts.
For those needing to stay overnight this hotel has been recommended: http://www.dayshotelnottingham.co.uk/

    Welcome one and all.

This topic is to discuss the next forum meet (unofficial unless andy wants to bang a big ol' seal of approval on it).

Pick your favourite month, once dates set we'll poll again for game size, doubles or singles, any special rules etc.

Oh and to enter you must bring a small green figure of your choosing......I'll be bringing a goblin....or 50.

Could we get a sticky on this if people are planning on taking it seriously.

EDIT-Consumption of a ridiculously huge Warhammer World burger is not compulsory but highly recommended.

Edited thread title to be more descriptive of content.

Being so far out, I voted for all of them. I never tend to make plans more than 3 weeks in advance.

Question, if me and LadyM were to come, would we need to bring a green figure each? I mean, we'll be packing both armies in only 1 carry case so... >.>

I wouldn't want to go anywhere near that place around the Christmas period, so Dec/Nov/Jan is out really. Sept/Oct though should be fine. But ... what's with the Gnoblar thing?

This week I am good-naturedly shaking my fist at: Baragash. For being unreasonably reasonable.

Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.

Was just a joke, i have a slight goblin obsession at the moment.
Andy said it wouldn't be an official event so i thought of a weird thing I could call it.
You don't really have to bring a Gnoblar with you.
Though I would be amused to see what people would come up with.

Call it "Grab a gobbo" perhaps.

    Not "Grab My Gnoblar"?

It could be fun...but better yet...get like a group of goblins or gnoblars and hand them out at the meet...then ppl take em home and work on em.

I voted October, mostly because I'm not sure when I'll be getting a job, so October should give me ample time to find one and save up for a flight.

So long as I have sufficient notice any time is fine. Games day is out for me unfortunately though.

Ok so...October does it for me...not to far ahead butat the same time not in my face....

TBH it looks all round to be October.

I suggest a normal 750-1000 game this time around. And I think some small special rules are in order as well.

    Suggestions:
Find the Gobbo - Barrals and chests are placed around the board. On your turn move to within 2" and on a 4+ you find a Gobbo in one. This is done as soon as you get within 2" and end your movement, even if you can move further (because you are deeply interested in findig Gobbos). Each time you check to find a Gobbo you may not check the same one again untill a full turn has passed. You must also be further then 6" away (as the Gobbo needs room to sneak by you). If you are unable to move away to outside 6" then you must wait another full turn. This also includes you oponant. if it has been checked by you and you stay with 6" then they may not check. The player with the most Gobbos at the end of the game, Wins. Standard Player Turns.

Remember people, Basilisk'''s are my friends

    But sadly, not yours

No offense, but that actually sounds really dull. It'll pretty much be a game of you moving models in and out of 6" and rolling a dice. The player with the most luck wins the game.

Also 750-1000pts is pretty small. I was hoping this time around we could play some bigger games...say 1,500pts.

If you want to involve some sort of gobbo capturing in the game then you're best off just using one of the scenarios with a Loot counters from Battle Missions or 4th Ed IMO.

So October it is by the looks of things. If we are happy to go ahead with that then perhaps its time for a new topic to discuss the october forum meet with a sticky where we can decide what size battles and any special crazy goblin based System.
