2012 Forum Meet [Saturday 21st April] - Warhammer World

    EDIT: Updated information.

This is a UK based annual 40kforums get-together at Warhammer World, Nottingham.

First-timers wishing to come are more than welcome, as are all our wonderful 'regular' annual meet-up guys and gals.
Warhammer World is fairly accessible, for more information check the GW website here.

If you wanna play, you need your own army, a copy of your codex would help and... hopefully enough of us will bring rulebooks that we can get by.

Please make army lists at 750, 1000, 1500 and 2000 (you don't have to bring that much, bring as little as you feel) - the army lists will make it quicker to play games or go doubles against people if someone has less models with them than you do, or you fancy teaming up to tackle other forumites.

Standard force organisation chart, if you want to bring any rules expansions with you, please do.

I'd vote for March and April, but you didn't give the option of multi-voting, so I went with April. In my opinion, January and February are too close to October to really consider it. Nearer March/April is a better time to consider. In fact, I'd rather it a bit later - April/May, but you didn't give the option for May either...

Voting March. Jan/Feb = financial year end = tired/over-worked and I'm meant to be in South Africa for 3 weeks in April.

Pyro - Didn't want to shoot it into May or after that as it'd then bunch up on the official Aug/Oct time period for the other meet. I'm guessing Feb-March myself would be best, but i'm letting the voting run its course.

Well I don't think the October one is "official", whatever that means. I just don't think we should have more than one meet every 6 months, so that puts the one after October at March/April/May.

Buuuuump. If we're looking at early 2012 rather than mid-2012, isn't it an idea to start thinking about this seriously now?

I want to attend one, but I'm tied to school times, so I'll need to hit up Easter around that time frame - early April.

How have I only discovered this thread now!?

Anywho, there's plenty of you US folk to arrange a meet! Ok, the distances are greater but its bot beyond the realms of possibility. We made the last meetup with 8 peeps so you don't need massive numbers.

For me, there are a couple of dates in each of those months that would be a problem but I won't rule anything out yet so I've not voted. Once we decide on a month I can narrow it down a bit better.

I will see whether or not I can come, a bit far out really but more about checking in principal - I am always tied to trying to get a babysitter on a Saturday morning and under some pressure from the Mrs to not be too late.

@Beeva : you so keen that you're going to fly over

My chances of being able to come have increased as the holiday I was looking at for that time probably won't happen, and my new company doesn't have it's financial year end about then
