Here's Brother Omnio. According to the fluff in the Space Hulk set, he's part of Squad Gideon, but the fluff doesn't match the rules. In each scenario, Squad Gideon has a terminator with a chain fist, while Lorenzo has one more terminator with a simple powerfist/stormbolter combo.

After looking over each of the minis, I decided that Omnio was the one who needed to switch. So he is part of my squad Lorenzo.

I also posted him on Coolmini if anyone cares to vote.

The chest angel is an odd mix that looks kind of white in the end.

I use a green tinted grey/brown color from the P3 line called Cryx Bane Highlight as my base color, then layer it up by mixing it with a bluish off white color (P3 frostbite).

You can definitely see the greenish tint in the shadows, and this whole mini has a bluish tint to it (I used frostbite for a lot of the highlighting- especially the red).

    Odin's Work Thread!

I recently finished a commission for three full factions of Mercs (six minis each).

For those of you who are unfamiliar, Mercs is a very small scale skirmish game that plays a little like Infinity with opposing combatants hugging cover and trying to outmaneuver their opponents.

The scale of the game is so small, in fact, that an entire faction consists of six minis. So here are three full factions:

Those look great! Gotta say i love the yellow guys, the crazy power-katana dude, and the middle suit on the bottom pic.

Kinda interested in this game now... looks like it wouldn't cost much to get started?

Wow, they look great! I can see why people pay you to paint figures for them.

    Thanks.

Yeah, the game is pretty cheap to get started. Actually, you can get every mini for the game for less than most 40k forces I've bought.

And a lot of those sculpts are great- especially the Bobby Jackson ones.

I love the effect, wouldn't have thought there were any green or blue tints to the colours....looks like a bone or stone effect

    Forge World Valdor tank hunter

Here is another super heavy tank for the Praetorian Imperial Guard legion.

Man, I'm very fond of these bright colors on some of these tanks. They never fail to have a totally new take on the original mini.

It can also be found on Coolmini for those of you who care to vote.

    Football Werewolf

Well, here is a mini I did recently to fill out a Necromantics Blood Bowl team. This guy is available from WIlly Miniatures (also sold through Impact! Miniatures).

I don't know what else to say about him. Oh yeah, the lower jaw was missing due to a mispack, so I scultped him a new one.

You sculpted the lower jaw? I can't even notice. Nice work!

Really nice! I wish I'd have found that model when I was buying Werewolves for my Bloodbowl team, the GW ones are yuk!

What colours did you use on the base for the dirt? It's just very good and dirt-like, unlike mine :/

    Movie Marine Rhino and Sergeant

I finished my Movie Marines project recently with the last two entries.

First off, I needed a rhino to finish off the lot of them. I converted this rhino quite some time ago, but I always had a sort of block when it came to painting it up. Eventually, I realized that it was the static boxiness of the rhino mini- no matter how much you convert and add, it is tough to make it dynamic.

In order to remedy this, I decided to add a base. This mini is mounted on an old CD-ROM that we never care to see again.

Second, I threw together the sergeant mini- in part because I've done lots of this kind of freehand on projects for commissions, but I haven't done it for myself very much. The lion banner was in part because I felt it would go well as a sort of personal heraldry icon on him.

I put the Rhino up on Cmon for anyone who cares to vote.
