High Elf Dragon -> Imperial Dragon

Hi,

Bought a High-Elf Dragon set today, going to use the dragon as The Imperial Dragon and as a mount for Karl Franz. Any suggestions for what I could use the figure on top of him as? Perhaps convert him into an Empire General or something? Any suggestions/advice would be much appreciated.

What about the Karl Franz on a Griffon?

Gosh, I'm not sure. It's very High Elf. It might be best just to retain it for your bitz box at the moment - unless you think your Empire army would appreciate a rogue elf in their midst (if, for instance, you were doing a mercenary themed force, with all sorts of races and models counting as various things).

The dragon is nice though!

Yeah...I'm, not sure what any of the rider bits could be in anything but an elf army. As TIP said...it's VERY high elf. I'm planning to use the banner from my friend's dragon in my orcs....so pieces here and there could work. But certainly a pure conversion would be difficult...but perhaps interesting.

something that might work is converting the dragon helmet to be a griffon or eagle

That a nice idea... Hehehe... One of my friends does play high elves, and that would annoy him so very much. Nice idea

Thanks for all of your advice guys! From what you've said, I think I will throw him into the darkest depths of my massive bits box (I've the Battalion Set to thank for that! ).

Although, If I can find one, I might be able to give him an Empire head. If I can do that, I think it would work. I might as well try it, if it doesn't work, then I can throw him in the box until I can get some more bits that will make it work.

Well, I got some components out and had a look at them, and I think I will be able to do it. I'll post the pictures of the assembled and painted Dragon and Converted Elf when I've finished them, to see what you all think.
