Command Squad Plasma vs Melta in Chimera

I Do know that pimping out your IG ccs with either 4x melta guns or 4x plasma guns are very effective,especially if they are safely inside a Chimera but which do you prefer and why?

Neither. Obvious, dull and short ranged. Besides, you want a medic in there, a Vox is handy no matter what the rest of the internet says (re-roll those Orders for a dribble of points? yes please!), BS4 Lascannon is also a good bet and then contemplate adding another weapon. In which case, plasma as you'll be static more often than not. If they're in a Chimera too, Master of Ordnance too for lulz.

Save that roll for Veterans if you must.

Personally, i see my ccs as having one use: ORDERS. I either leave them in my back lines giving my lascannon teams twin-linked shots, or I place them near a couple groups of vets to give them ''first-rank fire second-rank fire". When i want to pimp out a squad or two, i normally take two vets squads with carapace armor, 3 meltas or 3 plasmas, i give the sergeant a plas. pistol, and i place both two of the squads in chimeras.
