MOVED OUT

Yes that's right folks, as of yesterday me and @LadyMorticia have moved out from the Folks and into our own place.

The only problem is that we won't get internet until the 24th January. This is because it's a new build and the phone lines aren't actually connected yet. Instead we're going to have to come back to the Folks to use their internet for the next 5 weeks.

It's a nice 1-bedroom flat with LOADS of space. We got given a load of stuff like a Washing Machine from the landlords, a couple of Sofas, Chest-of-Drawers, and a Bookcase from a friend of the Folks, and my Gran gave us money toward a carpet for the bedroom...which by sheer luck turned out to be the right amount. The carpet is set to be fitted tomorrow, and we have our Fridge and Cooker coming on Tuesday, so it's all good.

As for you GMs, I'll still be able to post in your games every day or every other day, but if I'm lagging, just mention me or auto me, whatever really.

As for pics, I'm sure @LadyMorticia will post some if it's requested. Although we only have pictures of the place being empty at the moment. We'll hopefully get pics of stuff actually in the flat come Tuesday when we have carpets, cooker and fridge in.

Yeah we do plan, but unfortunately the landlords only consider us as we are now and not how we intend to be a few months down the line, so 1-bedroom was the biggest we were allowed. Not that we'll have kids that soon, but I was certainly expecting to have one on the way by now. According to Anni we can just get a house-swap when that happens though, so we'll go into a bigger house, but with the same landlords and it'll generally be a bit quicker rather than the year-long wait we had to get this place.

While usually I would agree, I've always wanted kids in my early 20s, which I'm about halfway through already. Anni is the same, but her early 20s have already given way to Mid-20s. Also it's fairly annoying only being allowed to have a 1-bedroom if we might have to move again next year just to accommodate the extra body running around.

Wait, what? You're only allowed so many bedrooms based on how many people are there?

Because where I come from, you're only allowed the number of bedrooms you can afford.

In that case we couldn't afford any bedrooms

It's a council flat and the council decides who gets what, and we were only allowed a 1-bedroom.

Without meaning any harm or insults, would you mind to explain what a council flat is? I am unfamiliar with the concept. I find it hard to digest that somebody else decides what sort of house/appartment anybody else should get.

It is accommodation rented off of the local government - the local council. They decide upon your needs based upon the number of people in your household. Therefore more people = more rooms.

Congrats to Pyrosikth! Having your own gaffe is epic. No parents to moan at you for making a mess.....though you are living with your missus so you'll be getting the moanings anyways for being messy
