Imperial Armour 11 - Eldar Corsairs
Anyone had a chance to read up the army list for these guys yet? I'd like to know what people think for them before I consider picking up the new book.
From what I hear it is pretty cool and plays nicely, but more opinions would be nice

Concept: awesome
Narrative: very good, though poorly edited
Army list: I really want to do a Corsair list! Editing is traditional GW/FW standard
Campaign: characterful as ever though short in comparison to Badab/Vraks (they don't skimp on scenarios though)
I'm currently halfway through putting the list into Quartermaster so I can generate lists on the commute

10 Capacity Falcons are a typo though, it should be 6.

However, they're DTs which gives me hope for the Codex. Even more so if their BS will be the same as the squad they're bought for.
This week I am good-naturedly shaking my fist at: Baragash. For being unreasonably reasonable.

Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.

Grey Knights don't go to heaven: they go to hell and regroup.

As Corsairs don't have WSs I'm not sure I'd get too excited about the Falcon's status just yet.
The capacity is not the worst mistake, forgetting to put the Webway Portal in the Void Dreamer's entry takes the biscuit, followed by totally missing the Shadow Seer's stuff out (though at least the option to take it is given).

I'd be downright p-o'd if I paid that much for a book with that sort of mistake in it.
And yes, I know - different book, different approach, different rules etc, but I can dream.

It all looks pretty awesome, Typos or no. Just one question, is there a way to get Rangers into the list?

The Corsairs are allowed an Elite choice of 0-1 Craftworld unit, subject to limitations that I can't remember and will check at home.
So maybe

In conclusion, no, it's 0-1 Elite or Fast Attack choice from Codex: Eldar.
@edmundblack : TBH moving the Falcon to DT will probably work in the context of the Eldar list, and it seems a good idea to me, except in order to do so, they'd have to make sure they understand why Falcon > Wave Serpent and adjust the rules/points appropriately or the WS just disappears for a whole edition.

Perhaps, but if it were a DT for Elite choices only, that might level things out. Might.

It's a pretty cool looking list. But I can't help but feel that since it's an outcasts list (Corsair is one of the outcast paths) that it should include the option for rangers, even if they don't really fit with the style of super quick jetpack madness.

I'd love some more info on the Void Dreamer. Does anyone know what the stats are for the Void Dreamer are - even whether they're closer to warlocks or a farseers - or what equipment they come with and/or have options for? I'm eager to start a conversion (Ghosthelm, no Ghosthelm?), but it'll be a while before I get a copy of the book.

They're halfway between the two TBH, and at least have the benefit of A2. They start with a pistol and CCW and can swap one or the other out for a special weapon, which is basically a choice between Neural Shredder, Witchblade, Power Weapon or taking Rending with +1S. Pretty standard "other" wargear set (Haywire Grenades, Jet Pack etc), the big ones in there are the Webway Portal and Spirit Stones. Three powers: shooting attack, forcefield effect and Ld re-roller.

Lulz at the first Q&A answer. Why not give it Rending too? May as well have the full set.

Kudos to them though for getting the FAQ done quickly and simply.
