Warrior Acolytes
I got a Coteaz model and want to try running some Henchmen to bolster my numbers and the Warrior Acolytes seemed like the obvious choice since they are so cheap and have loads of options for upgrades. Also want to try running some Death Cult Assassins, but that is another thread

What do you guys use for Warrior Acolytes?
My army is all fully helmeted, no bare heads as it makes them look more sinister and cold IMO
hehe. I would really like to stick to that theme but I am not too familliar with older models or stuff from other armies that I should consider.
I looked into some stuff on the GW site that looked nice, the Kasrkin Squad was actually my favorite option. They had full closed helmets plus you could get the plasmaguns, meltaguns and flamers options for them, just a little too pricy for my liking - of course the Codex suggests using IG Stormtroopers, all the options are there but again pricy. It seemed like using vanilla tac squads would be too close to the look of a GKSS.

Guardsmen will do it I think. Alternatively, wait until Mantic release their Corporation minis for Warpath and use some of those, or check out other manufacturers. There's loads of sci-fi model makers out there.
This week I am good-naturedly shaking my fist at: Baragash. For being unreasonably reasonable.
Sex, drugs and pointy ears.
Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.
Cordova: In my head you're eight foot tall, always carry an officer's sabre, and speak like Theoden at the battle of Pelennor Fields.
Grey Knights don't go to heaven: they go to hell and regroup.

I just used Cadians for my "Formosa Trooper" (Warrior Acolytes) - otherwise there are plenty of other manufacturers . Additionally, my mate is collecting Necromunda Arbites for his acolytes.
I am the Inquisition until my wife says stop being silly and mow the lawn ! Inquisition : 2000pts Current Focus (see my log - just need to paint it)
THANK YOU GW...... Thank you for the great game that is 40k you have built over years of hard work (honestly, no sarcasm, I AM A GW FANBOY - KEEP IT UP!) =D>

Never underestimate putting a crusader or two in the unit for a power weapon and 3++. Maybe a monkey to give some useful enhancements, nothing like a 24" range meltagun. Little stuff like that can really help out if you have the spare points for them in a squad.
The true man wants two things: danger and play. For that reason he wants woman, as the most dangerous plaything.

Any of these would do go service as Henchmen:

Lacking storm bolters, but it's not a big deal I think.

Thanks for the info, I will definately give these a look over.
I looked into some fantasy stuff for crusaders, I think a little conversion work on some empire guys or even just the basic chaos troops would work out great for them. I am considering the monkeys, just not sure about what I am going to run, I love the idea of them having a choice in weapons.... Bah decisions decisions hehe, so many things I want to run, so little money to get what I want

Actually, GW do do acolytes (2 poses) - I think they are in the Bitz or collectors catalogue, but they look like something out of the 16th Century, and arent carrying storm bolters anyway. White metal so a pain to convert.
These guys are good:
http://wargamesfactory.com/webstore/...tcoat-troopers
Germanic greatcoats, with a choice of heads (useful for the bits box) including germanic helmets+gasmasks, and also some really nice ones with 'open brains' which would do well for psykers, and have some 'NCO' heads too. One day I plan to get round to doing some.... their main weapon doesnt look like any of the GW guns and are substantial so they would make good storm bolters. You also get grenade launchers that look better than the GW ones, and other bits. Not many poses, unfortunately.
At $20 or about £15uk (Maelstrom Games) for 18 figures they are good value.
Only downside is you wouldnt be able to use them in GW-run events as they are non-GW models, but I guess you're going to encounter that with pretty much all the suggestions here.

Since the death cult assasins do not have specific high tech wpn, many medieval fig might do. (although you will miss the bodyglove)
Henchman warrior: storm troopers are a military looking idea, Delaque gang (necromunda) look more "streetwise", while the redemptionist of necromunda really look like witch hunter followers. Of course, many Necromunda gangs may do, it is your taste. I purchased Storm troopers as such for troop choice in old days of witch hunters, while Delaque and Redemptionist were intended for Zealots. In those days, when 3 of a type were the limit, I used crusaders and servitors as warrior henchmen.
