Gamesday Miniature

Ring any bells?

Like the 2nd Edition garish colour scheme too, kind of fitting. You'd think they'd make these rarities out of metal though instead of honeycomb.

Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.

A blast from the past! wow!
I'm impressed that they managed to render it without it being dorky.

I'm not a fan of the bright colors but they did a great job on this one.

Although I really like this model and it does a great homage to the second edition box art....
I don't know, it just seems too retro and doesn't really fit the current line. IMHO at least.
Although I deserve it for failing the challenge.... I hate you Shaun...
To make it worse, my wife laughs at me every time she sees it.

Umm to me it looks like a Marine Not exactly how it doesnt fit the current line?
Looks like just about any other marine Miniture out there. Just in a different pose and bright paint job. Personally I like brighter paint jobs. Then all the dark shadowy ones.

I personally love the reference to the old box (that's when I first started painting, and it was part of the reason I went for Blood Angels). It does look retro but that's the paintscheme; if it was painted in a current 'Eavy Metal style it would fit in with the range fine.

Love it!!! Wants it!!! Who's up for Gamesday?!??
I've been looking for this actually, a while back, and I mean kinda probably in the days of 2nd or maybe even 3rd, someone did a conversion of this guy in White Dwarf. I had been trying to find that pic.
