Stationed at Ft. Hood

Yea, shipped to Ft. Benning back at the end of july to be part of the first class of 19k tankers to graduate since the 40s, which is kind of cool. Anyway, graduated Nov. 18th and got stationed at Ft. Hood TX. Is anyone here on the forums near the killeen area? It sucks being in a place where there is only one or two places that sell or endorse 40k in any way shape or form.

also im like a 100 miles away north in oklahoma. but i know theres a lot of military who play 40k so you just got to look around.

And I'm even more north than Deception, being stationed at Fort Riley, KS. What's Ft. Hood like? Nice base?

The base is nice, killeen is a shit hole. Being a tanker is pretty cool so far, only driven and loaded so far. Best part about being one is you get trained on every vehicle that you deal with, due to being vehicle crew by default. Lots of infantry work because of the current wars being fought. Drawing tanks at my line unit soon.

I like the base itself because I get to stay in the new Cav barracks, meaning my own room and closet. The area surrounding it is absolutely horrible, I here about robberies and shit happening everyday and the drivers are the worst I have seen in a long time.
