Foamy's new 40k Twist AOD Final Round
*Foamy drags himself onto his throne after the new years eve party at the arena got a bit out of hand* Mental note don't give sisters of battle vodka it makes them quite uncontrollable and able to rip off a chaos gods arms and beat him to death with it. Sorry about that Khorne worshippers he should be out of the infirmary by the end of the week.
So onto the first AOD of the new year and it's one of my favourite ones where I reveal some information to you however the rest is not revealed until after you've signed up and then I reveal the rest.
So onto the basics as usual.
Standard AOD rules. Shooting done at same time and then assault done at I and psychic powers done whenever they can be done.
Now onto the rules specific for this arena.
To sign up all you need to do is say you want in and pick 2 codexs and label them as Codex 1 and Codex 2 e.g. Codex 1 Ork Codex 2 Tau. Once done your in however I will not reveal what they are for until everyone has signed in but I can say that it is a single HQ model arena with the model having a total cost of 150pts.
As usual it's the standard you will fight everyone else in the arena and get 2 pts if you win your fight, 1 pt if it's a draw and 0 pts if you got the crap kicked out of you.
So yeah just post your interest and your 2 codexs and then once full I'll reveal the details you need to make your entries.

Succubus with Bike, Burna and Attack Squig.

Right time to reveal the twist.
So the rules for character entry.
You first choose a single non-sc HQ model from the list of HQ's in codex 1. That HQ comes with all their standard equipment and special rules. However any additional equipment must be purchased from any of the non-sc HQ choices from codex 2.
For example.
Codex 1 Orks Codex 2 Necrons
I choose an ork warboss who comes with his standard equipment but then give him the phase shifter, warscythe and sempiternal weave from the overlord and a voltaic staff and lightning field from a cryptek.
For psykers and powers it varies for example
Codex 1 Eldar Codex 2 Space Marines
I choose a farseer and he can then take 2 of the psychic powers as per usual but must purchase the epistolary upgrade to use both in a turn.
However Codex 1 Eldar Codex 2 Orks
The farseer can use the weirdboy powers but rolls on the weirdboy psychic power table though can also buy the warphead upgrade.
Finally in terms of limits only real one is they can only have 1 2 handed weapon and 2 one handed weapons but wargear go nuts with.

The Twist is revealed! Its a shame no Tau can 'buy' a Crisis suit- that would have been a nice bonus for my pointy eared protaganist. Only one combat weapon available- and its a two-hander.
