trying to make a army with commader farsight

Hi am kinda new at this blogging thing .but to get down to business i choose commander farsight as my main HQ .but having trouble making a army that fit his tactic . it dosnt matter what i do i all was get my ass handed to me by orks and other races.... any advice would be helpful

Well as you've probably learned from reading the Tau codex, Farsight is the only Close Combat oriented battlesuit, while the rest of your Battlesuits are made to kill stuff at range. If you are using the full 7 bodyguards you have , Farsight: pretty good at shooting and combat; and you have seven other bodyguards with S5 and WS3. Now my guess is when Farsigh gets close to another unit ur just going to charge with him or leave the bodyguards out, when you could be charging with your bodyguards! As said above they have S5 adn Ws3 which instn amazing but isnt to bad. Im not saying to charge your bodyguards at Close Combat units but at some ork boys, a Battlesuit could do some damage. And what configuration of weapon aand support systems are u using on your battlesuit bodyguards?

On top of what he said, farsighted can bring 17 crisis suits into a battle, which is really good if you're going for a mobile army.
