Tyranid Paint Scheme HELP!!!!
Hey guys im new to tyranids and I am trying to work out my paint scheme. I would really appreciate it if everyone who reads this thread would rank these color schemes from 1(best)-4(worst). Im sorry that the whole gant isnt painted but my computer isnt running flash so the only way I could do this was to copy a template into paint and do these pixel by pixel....I did enough for you to get the general idea. Also please dont start posting other color schemes, these four are the ones ive narrowed it down to. Thanks in advance.
My wife has already voted on these so here they are (just use the gants body color):
1- Purple
2- Green
3- Red
4- Blue

Really is up to you, dude! You're the one that's going to end up painting hundreds of the damn things so pick the one that you like most. If you want, test paint your favourite options on one gaunt and see how it turns out, you can strip them again very easily.
For me, I'd go Red, Blue, Purple and green in that order. The Green one looks a lot like Scythe's Nids (just in reverse), there's some pics of those on here so maybe take a look at those to see if that gives you inspiration.

my vote is the reverse of your wife's list.
blue/tan since it has good crisp contrast of color. will definately 'pop' on table top
red/black is nice as it will be great for speed painting lots of models (red everything, black the carapace, finaling bright red highlights and the green detail - done!)
green/blue is just too bright... fine if you're going for irradiated look
purple gets last as it just too dark of a purple, as well purple is a common color in my local gaming area... like 5 players here paint using a purple base (myself included) so it's kinda blah to me (more so unfortunate since I've got a purple army...)
Army (W/L/D)
CSM 0/0/0 (70% painted)
Tyranid 0/0/0 (updating)
Eldar 1/1/5

Go to page 2, scroll down a little to the Swarmlord. This will show you how awesome green and black work. Relatively red and black give much the same effect.
